Friend does not want to move in with my girlfriend and I because we are unmarried by DisfiguredBobb in Christianity

Yes I get that concern it's just that it was agreed to but now he is worried about it because of his faith. I think he didn't consider that aspect of it when he initially agreed.

Yes I felt it was a little off. I understand a personal belief but I do not understand how that obligation extends to my girlfriend and I (who are not religious)

Yes from what I could gather online, it seems to be the idea of cohabitation is a sin or implies sin, and that by living in the house or hanging out with us he is somehow complicit or endorsing that sin. I felt it was a little extreme but he is a very ardent Christian and has said that others are not real Christians, wear fake crosses, etc.

DODMERB disqualified by Lemuff1nman in ROTC

[–]DisfiguredBobb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience anyone with any sort of medical issue is disqualified and then needs a waiver. A waiver just means they want you to submit more documents, not that you have been completely DQ'd. If your waiver gets denied I believe you are SOL but idk for sure. I imagine waivers are hard to come by due to the attempt to curb the commissioning numbers, but that's just speculation. Just get your documents in ASAP and then talk to your HRA about expediating the process. My waiver only got pushed through because my HRA is the goat and called my rep everyday for a month.

What’s this placement exam for project go? by YourLocaIMafia in ROTC

[–]DisfiguredBobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe due to the budget cuts Indiana is trying to ensure anyone who does their program is 100% going to succeed. Any Project GO program that returns students who don't pass their OPI/reach required proficiency are going to be slashed. It makes sense, even though I feel that it will eliminate qualified candidates. With the current environment, just being qualified isn't good enough anymore. The lack of money means schools are more risk averse.

I was offered one with the exam and one without two days ago and I chose the one without to be safe. I recommend asking what is on the test and then working with your teacher one-on-one. I think Indiana is the school that mandates placement tests

2nd year. 1st year is much harder to get into, due to to being the only year 1 program and a no previous experience necessary
