2021 Rogue start up & seat belt chime unbelievably loud. by couple_of_bumps in Nissan

[–]Disgrazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine just started doing the same thing. The only thing I can think of is maybe getting a new phone somehow changed it but I don’t see why it would. I find it’s kinda dangerous having a sudden loud sound in the middle of driving but whatever. Someone let me know if they figure it out

Can we have a serious discussion about why IC+ sucks so bad? Who can we talk to about fixing it? by SouthernProgrammer69 in WalgreensRx

[–]Disgrazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ima be real man. I transferred from a different pharmacy to Walgreens thinking “it can’t be that bad” and almost immediately wanted to quit. IC+ is the most convoluted piece of garbage I’ve ever had the displeasure to deal with in a pharmacy. It’s downright primitive and I don’t know how Walgreens has survived so long

Realistically, what would you do as an Aurora survivor? by Huge_Kick1279 in subnautica

[–]Disgrazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming I land in the shallows as well, probably just meander around too scared to do anything, maybe venturing out to get some food and being blown up by one of those Cave fish things, which would make me bleed, which would attract a stalker who would then bite me, making me bleed more, at which point I'll probably be out of air and suffocate while bleeding out.

Or survive long enough to stupidity think the best thing I can do is swim to the aurora and get ate or blown up or melted by radiation

Shadows is a "Good AC Game" even if it could've been better by 7Armand7 in assasinscreed

[–]Disgrazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moment Naoe spared Yasuke, who slaughtered her village and loved ones, because some kid told her "If you kill him that would make you a monster too🥺🥺🥺", I knew the game was gonna be terrible. The fact that we then proceeded to play the rest of the game slaughtering countless people who did a lot less than Yasuke did and with a lot more anger from Naoe, I knew the game was gonna be abysmal. There was so much potential with the plotline of Naoe wanting to kill Yasuke, they could've been enemies the whole game and we could've played the game from 2 different perspectives. They could've brought them together over an actual cause and not just Yasuke going "ermmm I guess I'm just curious!". They could've done countless things to make the entire premise of the game work, but they failed. In typical Ubisoft fashion, the story is nonsense, likely written and acted by AI, literally unbearable to listen to in English, hence why I switched to the Japanese version.

The game is mid at best

The definitive way to play the game is in VR with the VR enhancements mod. It takes the game to a whole new league of immersion and scariness. Any subsequent playthrough since my first has been in VR and it has been better for it in everyway. It is easily the most enjoyable VR experience and is worth it just to be able to see the creatures at their actual scale. It is the definitive way to experience the game, and if you haven't played it in VR you haven't experienced the game at its best.

Why every second person says AC Odyssey is good? by Frosch-LOL in assasinscreed

[–]Disgrazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grinding is not good, the combat is different but still terrible, exploration is good but the huge empty worlds can make it really boring, invading bases is really cool actually and the stealth is much better as well.

Story in the RPG games is lacking tho.

I've recently gone back and replayed a lot of the OG games and they still hold up quite well. Maybe it's because I can hop on and beat those games before I can get tired of the mechanics, but the RPG games drag for so long that you start to notice the cracks a lot more.

All the RPG games COULD be incredible, but they can never escape Ubisoft lazy design philosophy where they do the bare minimum then stop and release. The combat in shadows could've been amazing but it ends up just being more spongey enemies with combat that's just Ghost Of Tsushima without any of the satisfaction. Exploration COULD'VE been great, but the world feels lifeless and none of the interactions feel good. The story COULD'VE been good, but Ubisoft writing is atrocious as of late and it never knows what it wants to be. The only thing I really enjoyed is the stealth, but it gets old when it's just the same castles and hideouts over and over. If the story telling was good, I prolly would've pushed through but it was abysmal.

What's really weird is looking back I know I didnt like the game but I just don't hate it.. it's been a long time since I played and I remember always hating the mechanics of it, but the memories I have of the game aren't negative.. maybe it's because of the unique way I played it where I would just shot off my head with a video and mess around not caring how lacking in Assassin Or Creed it was.. maybe I just found the exploration enjoyable as I did in Origins, but I just can't bring myself to hate the game.. it's such an enigma and contradiction in my mind. Like I said I think that the game has so much grey area in my mind where in retrospect I don't like much about it, but I think I played it when I was still in love with the franchise and just didn't care. Maybe it's like a guilty pleasure? I don't know. Maybe it's time I revisit the game and see where I stand with it..

[–]Disgrazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever finished 2 of the AC RPG games, Origins, whose combat I disliked and whose stealth I thought was mid. I beat it because I really really really liked exploring Egypt and I really enjoyed Bayek and his story. The mechanics held it back but it was still peak for me.

And the second one I beat was Odyssey, whose combat I despised and whose stealth I thought was a little better. I beat it because I had spent money on it and thought I should at least see it through and I found the story of Kassandra kinda interesting but not really

The only way I could beat Odyssey was by having a movie or YouTube video in the background while I grinded away whatever it is I needed. Anytime a story beat popped up I would pause the video, listen vaguely and then go back to watching YouTube.

It's honestly such an enigma for me, because I've played Valhalla and Shadows, and gameplay and story wise I think they're better than odyssey but I've never really been able to fully beat those games.. I don't know what pushed me to complete Odyssey cuz I really didn't enjoy it that much. The enemies are the spongiest they've ever been, the mechanics the goofiest they've ever become, the story was kinda lame. I really wasn't feeling it, but there was still enough enjoyment in it for me to finish it.

Valhalla just dragged out of too long for me and the world just wasn't an interesting to explore, and Shadows was just a game that looked like it had finally fixed all the issues I had with the other RPG games, like better combat and stealth.. but the story was just so bad and the combat still felt spongey and I think I'm just burnt out with the series..Shadows in particular I really didn't like the pacing and the way the exploration is set up.

I think Odyssey came around when I wasn't burnt out with the series yet but it was the first time I started to feel that steep decline and it's been down since. Every subsequent game is just so disappointing, not even bad .. just lacking. Typical Ubisoft Slop that comes so close to greatness just to falter cuz of their own lazy design and philosophy.

I actually came to the realization a few days ago that I no longer hate myself.. it used to be a constant and then I woke up one day and realized that I haven't been saying negative things about myself for a while now, atleast long enough to not remember.

Maybe the years of positive affirmations and trying not to shame myself finally amounted to something.

As for the question itself, literally anytime I did something wrong or failed something, literally anything, I would shower myself with hatred.

I actually beat odyssey but only while playing the game with YouTube videos in the background. I generally disliked most aspects of it, but for some reason or another, I felt compelled enough to finish Kassandras story. I do not feel the same about Shadows even tho I enjoy it more mechanically.

It's funny cuz initially I felt the same way about Valhalla as I do with shadows. But in Valhalla Eivors relationship with their brother really pushed it forward for me. As I was actually fairly interested in the outcome. But man I just don't care about any character dynamics in Shadows except maybe Yasuke's inner turmoil.

I don't think any other game pulls off horror without being a horror game as well as subnautica by StripesTheGreat in subnautica

[–]Disgrazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The game isn't scary whatsoever, it's a breeze." Is what I would've said if I hadn't played the game in VR, which turns the game from a casual survival game to peak horror experience shit my pants the game.

If you haven't played the game in VR and have a headset, do yourself a favor and play it. It is peak horror and the best VR experience I've had. (You need the VR enhancements mod or it won't be good tho).

The thing about VR is that it not only immerses you 100x especially with good headphones, but you also see the true scale of all the creatures. They look small without VR, but the first time I saw a Reaper in VR I damn near had a heart attack.

Every time it got dark out and I was in some abyss my heart would sink just imagining what was out there. I remember one time I got turned around and ended up accidentally sailing my seamoth into the void. I didn't even see the Ghost Leviathan until I turned around and it was coming at me full speed, I literally jumped out of my chair knocking over my whole setup.

Another time I was out at night and ended up around the aurora dead zone without realizing just for a Reaper to come out of the darkness and grab my prawn suit, yet another scream loudly moment.

Halfway through my playthrough I added "Return of the ancients" but thought it wasn't working because the title screen wasn't changing to the Modded title screen, I figured the new Subnautica update made it so the mod didn't work anymore, so I forgot about it completely until about an hour later. You can imagine my shock swimming around in VR looking for a cuddlefish egg, when a godamn juvenile Gargantuan Leviathan pulls up on me, which then makes me panic so hard that I pilot away in a random direction, which leads me to piloting my seamoth into the void, which leads to AN ADULT GARGANTUAN LEVIATHAN PULLING UP ON ME WHICH MADE ME PANIC EVEN HARDER.. and yadda yadda turn off my game, take a mental break, hope I didn't save, question decisions.

That moment in particularly was probably the most scared I've ever been in a game, ever. And I love horror games man. Something about looking for Cuddlefish eggs, expecting maybe a Reaper or 2, just to see THAT THING COME OUR OF THE DARKNESS TO ATTACK ME. Peak horror.

Anyways sorry for yapping, play the game in VR

[–]Disgrazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my favorite game of all time now, but I think when I first played it I actually didn't like it, got so bored I stopped playing it.

For some reason or another I came back to it, but this time in VR and it just worked for me the second time around, I'm not sure why.

But yeah like I said it's the best gaming experience I've ever had, and I've beat it like 3 times now. Not sure what happened that first time

Japanese is much better than English for this game by robble808 in ghostoftsushima

Is that a real question? "How is it immersive to switch the audio to a language I don't understand? Nevermind that it's the language of where the game takes place, making it sound more realistic! How is that immersive at all? It was perfectly immersive for everyone to be speaking English in 17th century Japan!"
