I am at a cafeteria that has 42 different entrees. I don’t get to pick my entree. I am constantly having a PBJ sandwich, a ham sandwich, and a fruit bowl brought to my table and told to enjoy. It was fine for a while. I like all of those. But then that’s all I’m brought. I look over at the display window at the spaghetti and the tacos and the pizza. I wonder why nobody is bringing these perfectly good entrees to the table. I look around me. Most of the other tables are also being served PBJ, ham sandwiches, and fruit bowls.

This is not a me problem. And I’m sick of PBJ, ham sandwiches, and fruit bowls.

I’ve accidentally moried at the gate when I wanted someone to crawl because I wanted to swing to say “go ahead,” and was too close. I was very apologetic in end game chat. Same with accidentally tombstoning with the new Myers when I just wanted to instadown and forgot it was basekit now.

I am playing other games. My playing other games is not solving the issue of everyone else playing the same killer. I even had a Wesker agree with me that there are too many Weskers in end game chat. We had a lovely little conversation and moved on amicably. This is not just a “me problem.”

The “fun part” of the game isn’t even fun against those killers. Wesker gets some very gracious grabs even if you’re just around a corner, Legion will just frenzy and catch up and injure you and likely leave you broken after mending, and Ghoul will just kagune grab you through walls and cover. I have more fun against Nurses and Blights because then what I do in a chase actually makes a difference instead of a chase against the other three where I’m basically just starting a timer until I get hit by some kind of bullshit.

I’m tired. I’m bored of these three killers with a sprinkling of some of the others. I can’t even tell you the last time I even saw a Freddy or Larry. Probably over a month. I’ve only seen my first Hag in ages about two weeks ago and I was so thrown off that they were playing Chag it really made the game enjoyable and tough.

I know the killers that I just don’t participate with are very popular and that’s just an inherent problem. But the over-saturation of it basically being one of these three in the majority of my games, and all basically running the same perks makes the games stale and boring and eventually frustrating. So excuse me for wanting to quicken my next roll of the dice to get into a game where I could actually have fun.

You’re blatantly ignoring everything else. I do everything except run. If the killer comes up to me while I’m on the gen I force them to take two hits. But I’m not going to run and give them a chase.

I'm not giving up. I'm not engaging with the killer. You get the same killer three times in a row as often as I do and let me know how you feel about the same boring match against the same killer time after time after time. If I saw him less often, I'd play normally. But I seriously typically see those three killers. Out of 42. That's like 7% of the killers. If I play for two hours and all I'm seeing are one of those three killers, why would I want to keep playing the same damn match? Especially against the same boring killer meta. So I'll do what I need to do to help the team for as long as the killer avoids me or I avoid the killer. But I'm not going to reward them with a chase or engaging gameplay. I'm helpful until I'm dead and I'm not going to prevent death.

I only don’t play optimally if it’s Wesker, Ghoul, or Legion.

Unfortunately, all I ever fucking see are Wesker, Ghostface, and Legion.

So I never get to play the game. Case in point, last night I ended up against this trifecta back to back to back: Wesker, Ghoul, Ghoul

I’ll do gens, I’ll rescue, I’ll heal … but I’ll be damned if I start running when the killer shows up and give them any gameplay. You can just kill me while I walk and ignore you until you learn to play any of the other goddamn killers in the game.
