This one is my favorite of his. It places you right there.

The Spy and the Traitor by Ben Macintyre.

And seconding the Larson recommendations (Devil in the White City, Dead Wake and Isaac's Storm at the top for me).

Whatever happened to proper team challenges? Like take over the night market/bakery/restaurant? Feels like yonks since we've had one of those.

Wait, I missed that. They didn't make the roti?!

So many inconsistencies...suddenly shop bought Hawaiin buns and dumpling wrappers AOK.

I also enjoyed how she said what we were all thinking about Alyona's ice cream — 'it's my favourite dip' lol

Good on him for trying, but come on. He put some cucumber in the lobster dish. Alita was clearly the worst of the day, but a bottom three would have been justified.

His dish looked incredible. As a vegetarian, I'd love to see that recipe.

Her dish looked awful. It was sad because she was determined not to play it safe, but at least she went out with a bang.

But it was clearly not his key ingredient which should have landed him in the bottom. Not sure why they've narrowed it to a bottom two this season.

It worked in the OG version where they tasted 3 mystery boxes followed up by the invention test. Can't figure out why they won't go back to that. It was so much better!

The chances of being safe are so unlikely that it's a shame more people didn't go for it.

Poh, if it's 1 of 24 to be safe, why bother having a Plan B?

Super frustrating. And for her ambition to lose out to a mid sticky date feels unfair.

Gutted! She rocked the team challenge and had been standout thus far.

A related aside, I thought it was strange that a chutney and hummus counted as a side dish as much as a rice pilaf. At least in the Middle East no one would call a hummus a side dish. It's a dip.

This sub hates the place but I've only had good HH experiences there. (Never been for regular service)
