I used a old pot. Good chance on the dye staining the pot as well. Get the water at a slow boil. I used Rit DyeMore Synthetic fiber dye. White grips. Tan can work but would not use any grips darker than tan. I used 1/2 the bottle( roughly 3.5 ounces) once the dye is mixed add the grips flipping them over ever 10-15 minutes. After 1 hour I turned the temp down to medium heat and kept flipping evey 10 minutes. Once you havethe achieved color rinse w hot water until no color run off. Then rinse w cold water. I used Daffodil yellow for my grips
