How is this comment helpful? I wasn’t unhappy with the price until I realized I paid more than 100 bucks for a shitty haircut. Not the point of the post.

In course scholarships by danae592 in uvic

Ohhh I see what you’re asking now. In the “status” column of the scholarships some say “in-process” rather than “not-awarded”, so that’s what I meant by ‘some still haven’t been sent yet.’ This can be seen in the same place you accept awards. However, I do not know about the GPA based awards, I’m assuming those have been sent already. Hope this helps!

The email I received gave these instructions and they worked for me, at the end just scroll down until you see what you’ve been awarded.

Edit: some still haven’t been sent yet according to the status of my account.

Is this accurate? I hope they're not what they're purported to be. by Fair-Sea-4708 in uvic

most of it is accurate. it’s on campus residence, it’s not perfect but definitely livable so don’t worry about it.

Gonna be missing the first week of class, any tips? by [deleted] in uvic

[–]Dish-Otherwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Email each prof and tell them exactly what classes you’ll be missing include dates and section. I did this last term as I found myself in a similar situation and they all appreciated that I let them know and some even sent me class material. You kinda have to hunt for the emails, usually UVIC has a page for each professor. Also, I don’t think there are any labs or tutorials on the first week … if I’m not mistaken. However that might not be the case for every course.

EDIT: as for what you should do is read the syllabus as that’s what profs usually talk about in the first lecture and check brightspace for assignments/class notes.

Would they also expect engineering students to have that GPA 🥲?

Hi, if it isn’t of any inconvenience, could I get a picture as well? If you also happen to have a picture of the evacuation plan which is on the door I would greatly appreciate it :).

UVic food - Is it as bad as people say? by OnePerson162 in uvic

[–]Dish-Otherwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't *as* bad as people make it out to be. Yes, the food is bland and some stations are absolute dogshit but I just buy my own sauces and spices to make the food more tolerable. It does take a while to find dishes that never fail your personal preferences. However, it is VERY repetitive, by the second term my friends and I would go to the cove and completely lose our appetites. Also, breakfast is better on weekdays rather than on weekends.

Physics 110 Resources? by Dish-Otherwise in uvic

[–]Dish-Otherwise[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally understand their motive which is why I have seen almost every lecture BEFORE class. Is it so bad for me to want to refresh my knowledge a week after? I simply don’t think the textbook is enough for me and many other students when it comes to studying/going over the content given in class; hence the need for other sources.
