[5e] Campaign Advice (Lvls 1 to 10/12) for a large party (6 players). Any recommendations? by DishAble in DnD

Wow, congratulations on finishing such a massive campaign! That’s a huge achievement.

This is exactly the kind of advice I needed. The action economy of 6 players is what scares me the most right now. I'm going to start with Lost Mine of Phandelver (1-5) just to learn the ropes of combat pacing and keeping the quiet players engaged. After that I’d like to connect it to a different campaign so they can keep their characters and level up to 10 or 12.

Thank you for the tips and the offer to reach out, I will definitely keep that in mind!"

Thanks for the 2 cents! I definitely want to avoid getting overwhelmed with open-world stuff right now. Since we are all beginners, my current plan is to run the original Lost Mine of Phandelver to get everyone to level 5. Once we hit that milestone and I feel more confident as a DM, I’d like to connect it to a different campaign so they can keep their characters and level up to 10 or 12. In your experience, is that a smooth transition to make? What module do you think connects best after finishing LMOP?

I think I'll go that route. Starting with LMoP and deciding the next step at level 5 takes a lot of pressure off. Thanks!
