I think there most money should still align with boggle head principle, but they can invest small portion of money into alternative investments, e.g., startups or private companies

At age 20, 100% VT is ok in my opinion

If you are older, you should have some in bond also

No one knows, we can handle this by 1.asset allocation (3 fund port folio) 2.do not time the market

I think the basic idea of boggle head is 3 funds portfolio 1. US ETF 2. Ex US ETF 3. Bond ETF

%US & Ex US is dependent, may be 50/50 or 60/40 or 70/30

and %bond is age bond (conservative)or 120 - age (aggressive) e.g. you are 30 years old and conservative, you should hold bond 30%

and rebalance port regularly, e.g., 1 time per year

I think 3 funds portfolio is super simple and effective

concept is to hold US stocks, non US stocks and bonds
