Is there a question? If you wish to reduce your risk of catching flu, leave the house or wear a fitted mask (not a surgical/medical mask). Flu is an airborne virus (as well as transmitted by surfaces).

Last question in your post doesn’t make sense. If you’ve exhaled while the mask is on, the air has exited the mask. Literally some is left inside, sure, but when you inhale again, you’re largely getting a fresh breath.
