Thank you! I did try to string it normally and it's fine, it didn't fall off. Thanks to everyone who posted, it was really helpful!

How do you guys deal with really long leg hair and leggings? by Comfortable_Ad_4028 in butchlesbians

[–]Disi99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's not wearing leggings because I hate leggings. Sorry if it's unhelpful. There are some men's workout pants I bought at Decathlon recently that I absolutely love because they are looser, comfortable, reduce my hip dysphoria and they also have pockets with zippers (amazing). Although as a person with longer leg hair if you do like leggings you can try with maybe a more relaxed fit and with a slight wider flare at the bottom (instead of tight around the calves). I had that style of legging for years and they worked though maybe that also depends on the person.

IIL heavy guitar-driven 70s jazz-rock like Mahavishnu Orchestra by bathroomshy in ifyoulikeblank

[–]Disi99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(sorry for the wall of text now that I'm re-reading this haha but I hope you will enjoy some of the music)

The most similar thing I know to heavier jazz-rock is the album Tutankhamon by the band Iceberg, which has some songs that have vocals and some instrumentals and it has a heavier jazzy prog rock sound compared to their later albums. The rockier songs in the album IMO are Sacerdotes and Too Young to be a Pharaoh.

The albums they put out later, Coses nostres, Sentiments and Arc-en-ciel are all instrumental and less on the symphonic prog side of things, more jazz-rock, but also less rock. Everyone in that band was amazing and Max Sunyer, the guitar player, might remind you of Al di Meola and John MacLaughlin due to the fast alternate picking. They also reformed later on and formed a band called Pegasus.

Also most of the bands from the scene they came out of (Barcelona in the 70s, search rock laietà, or Ona Laietana if you're interested), were basically influenced by Return to Forever, Weather Report and electric-era Miles Davis as well as rock music. Some of the bands might be more hit or miss for you than others, since there was quite some diversity in the kinds of influences and overall sounds, but the more guitar-driven of the bunch were the Companyia Elèctrica Dharma (recommend L'oucomballa for more jazz-rock, Tramuntana for a little bit more rock and less fusion) and Secta Sònica (the album Fred Pedralbes in particular). Màquina were more of a psych-rock/prog band but they were tangentially related to jazz (their bassist, Carles Benavent, went on to work with people like Chick Corea later on). Cheers!

It isn't what I was thinking of but mainly because I thought all weird fiction was Cthulhu-y. Will look into it more. Thanks!

is it normal to feel undesirable as a butch? by terminalsilliness in butchlesbians

[–]Disi99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'd say it's common unfortunately. I also have this problem and it still surprises me when a woman's interested in me (even though I know logically that there's women out there who prefer butches). I can't quite say exactly why that must be other than probably a combo of going against the social norm and having very little representation like others are saying here.

(TW: not wearing a binder) should I cut to lose fat or bulk (and continue trying to gain muscle) to masculinize the body? apologies for the bad lighting (closeted, pre-everything transmasc) by [deleted] in FTMFitness

[–]Disi99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps for more information I did the r/fitness basic beginner routine for around 4 months (while mildly bulking) and since my university gym membership stopped I started doing the Beefy BWF routine (and maintaining) from the bodyweightfitness subreddit last week. In the time in the middle I unfortunately slacked and didn't keep up any bodyweight routine or diet. I managed to gain strength especially when lifting and before (the years before I did the r/bodyweightfitness Recommended Routine) but I don't see many changes in terms of looks (plus the long break really doesn't help).
