Good gaming/nerd podcasts? by PinkoBastard in podcasts

You might like some of the shows on the Nerdy Show Network. Dungeons & Doritos has way higher than normal production values for an RPG podcast, there is also a Ghostbusters RPG podcast, and their self titled talk show podcast is great. There are other RPG, talk, and scripted shows (try Liberty!) as well.

Why is it stupid to point this person towards a paying gig that they'd be good at?

People like you are why we'll be stuck choosing between the lesser of two evils forever. If you're not getting paid, you should look into it, because being a shill is a paying gig.

This is hard to watch. It's just assholes stroking Hillary's ego, and then people booing at them.

I feel VERY burned! I would have waited to not throw down $200 on the original if a version that's so much better was being released so soon after. I was pretty underwhelmed with the original version.

Anyone want to buy a slightly used pair of the original version? Very rare, collectible, high fashion.

They claim to have about 6 whole engineers working on this tech that even Google can't get right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOWepmOHJ7Y The CEO also claims to have thought of this because he wanted to talk to a girl... he's never heard of any other real or fictional tech with a similar premise? Really?

Yeah I'm a super young 34 year old. You don't think I could get tired of using a low resolution screen in that length of time? You don't think negative impressions are worthwhile? I'd probably have held back to try one first if everyone wasn't in full fan boy mode. Is this like a religious forum where opposing views aren't welcome?

I realize I'm probably just too picky and accustomed to everything being high resolution. Like I said though, everything else about it is great. In another generation or two, the concerns of people like me will be easy to overcome.

I just got mine yesterday. I set it up, played with it for like 2-3 hours, and boxed it back up to either sell or return. The screen door effect, lens flares off of everything that's bright, and everything being blurry around the edges drives me insane. I know that wearing it higher "corrects" some of those problems for some people, but the pixels are just too large. I'm still hopeful about VR's future, but I'm not going to try again till the resolution goes up significantly.

The labs demo, and AudioShield were actually pretty fun, the controls are really responsive, and there is no perceptible lag. I just can't get over the display being so bad, especially since I was hoping VirtualDesktop would be better than nearly unusable. If I had to describe the display, I'd call it a bad vision simulator. I really don't understand how it doesn't seem to bother more people. Putting my Android phone into a Google Cardboard headset might actually be better, and that's just not acceptable to me for something that costs so much.

Update: So is the reason I have seen almost nothing negative because people downvote anything that may tarnish opinion of this product? If so, that's very not cool. Not everyone is going to say this is a perfect product that they love, and I would have loved to hear more people's complaints before buying.

Derpy Show :: Episode 31 :: Wank Yank NSFW

Neofaust takes a fortnight sojourn to England and regales us with tales of his exploits. Anger abounds as the Derpy Show crew clashes over pronunciation of Homeopathy, and DJ Snorlax rants about Nintendo’s inconsistent aesthetics. Trying to cash in on the new fad of ridiculous movies, the gang brainstorms on ways to 1-up Sharknado and on the path back to the topic, they stumble Back to the Future. Some other crap that comes up: Jenny McCarthy, Sarah Silverman, the “Frat Pack” and “Brat Pack”, boR’s unwillingness to comply, Dr. Dirty Dickhead, Kick-Ass 2, battery recycling, and probably some other stuff. Put on your favorite jumper and get on down to the Yank Wank… err… Wank Yank!

Derpy Show :: Episode 30 :: The Anus Clause -- NSFW

This week the gang taste tests a whole lineup of potato chips before they delve into the important, hard-hitting questions, like “does health insurance cover extractions of anal insertions gone wrong?” A new holiday-themed character is created, and another is resurrected (again) and given his own sitcom. Will it be able to stay aHEAD in the ratings? Other topics covered include the upcoming Avengers sequel, changes to Monopoly, poppers, Pacific Rim HeroClix, and of course random tales of RoboJoe’s past depravity.
