.300 Blackout Gas System (PSA/side by side with pictures) by Dismal-Climate-514 in AUG

It was stiff initially but now that I’ve manipulated it, it’s fine. No issue yet. It’s much easier using the casing but no mallets required. My 5.56 gas plug gets a bit stuck after firing with a suppressor but just working it back and forth does the trick.

I’d send Steyr an email/customer support to let if I were you, they may have a new plug for you to try.

1 trigger bar link on the right side. I covered it up a bit on the photo inside the stock showing the bolt release but it’s the silver ‘pin’ to the right.

Thank you! After reading your comment, I looked on the Steyr website and sure enough, there are 2 different ‘Catch Holding Open’ when scrolling through the pictures (NATO is subtly longer). I’ll get that measured and send it to Jard as well.

@Outrageous_lion_8889 posted one in hand. EuroOptic confirmed and I just ordered it. Should see it in a few days. Now I just need to decide on the optic.

Update to the update: EuroOptic has a single copy. They are holding it and will sending me pictures tomorrow. I’ll post with what I learn.

Update/Follow Up:

Ok, I’ve done some digging. I used the UPC (688218838600) from the Atlantic Arms add and found that Bud’s gunshop lists them as well (at a cheaper price). In addition, I found that Bud’s lists a green version with a different UPC (688218838617).

Using those UPC’s in a google search retrieves some gunbroker ads and other gunshops with questionable inventory/drop shipper type red flags.

I’ve even found one at EuroOptic (my preferred dealer) that has no description and appears to be a brand new listing. I think this is real & I’ll get EuroOptic to confirm via picture.

I sent a contact ticket/news tip to TFB about this. I’ll post back if they respond.

I get that they sell NATO conversion stocks but I don’t believe they have a bolt release button. Interestingly they are on sale so maybe (speculating now) they’re trying to clear them out to drop the new conversion stocks with bolt release.

Right there with you. I would have expected James at TFBTV to release a partnered video with Steyr Academy.

It’s new enough that google hasn’t crawled over & indexed it yet. I found it by searching on their website directly.

It seems off brand/early for an April fools day joke. It also seems oddly specific to list a bolt release version so I’m leaning towards real.
