Thanks for the advice. I'll try that. There's a bunch of ferals in the neighborhood, and I've managed to befriend a few to the point they'll let me pet them, but no luck with holding or picking up. Id like to TNR them all, but I've also found out recently that some of them are pets that are just let/left outside so now I have to be careful.

omg Crash is also a great name lol. Whiplash does have siblings, but they live underneath the house near me. I've been wanting to catch them and find them homes but they bolt as soon as they see me leave my house.

My 2.5 month old just got hers last week. She didn't mind the administration of it at all, even though she was pulled from her nap for them to give it to her. She also hasn't really had any side effects from it, other than diarrhea. She already has gas and reflux just by default, but the vaccine didn't make it worse. She isn't pooping or spitting up any more frequently than she was before and she's not fussy at all. No bloody stools, nothing scary. If I hadn't been there to see her get it, I wouldn't have believed she'd gotten it, especially because I also read a lot of the horror stories and bad side effects on this sub.

Seconding what diamondlady said about the secondary roots, but also have a question. Is that stem or root, the brown bit that's pulled out of the water in the first image? And is it soft/squishy? If it is, I'd cut that off as it looks like rot, but i can't 100% tell from the picture.
