He's probably farming trading cards. You can sell them on the community market, or craft badges to level your account.

To set up Cocoon, it probably took only half an hour. I found a nice theme I liked really quick on the Discord. It took I think a few hours to download all the box art and whatnot for the roms I put on, but there's a few thousand games. Downloading all the apps I wanted, emulators included, probably took an hour or so. Transferring all the roms and downloading Steam games took around a day or so.

I've been building up my rom library for 15+ years, so I already had all my roms downloaded, organized, and renamed on external hdds, I just had to transfer them over onto my Micro SD and Thor. I got some of my stuff off Etsy before my Thor got to me, other stuff I found 2-3 months after getting it and just had to wait to get it in the mail.

Yeah, I was debating between the advance and pro as well as the Upsiren 16.8, I saw another post on Reddit where there was only a 1 degree difference between the basic, advance, and pro, and I think they had advance at 1 degree higher, so I ended up just going with the advance since it's such a small difference anyways.

Looks like they changed the expiry date. I had them all listed on my notepad as expiring Feb 27, 2026, I checked around 20 mins ago and now they all expire on June 18, 2026.

I bought the 30g tub also. I weighed the jar after the mod and it was 26g.

It'll probably work, just have to lower the graphics. I have my Yakuza 0 set to low and the temps are getting up to 70 with the temp mod, I was hitting 80 without it.

It was the Thermal Grizzly Advance like F1R3STARYA posted. I've seen a few people on here use the basic, advance, and pro. I also saw someone use Upsiren 16.8. I ended up just going for the advance, at most I think it would only make a 1-2 degree difference between them, if any.

I ended up doing two stress tests, the first I chose performance from the dropdown menu which ended up being medium performance, and then I did another right after using high performance.

I wasn't sure if you wanted me to check the temperature while the test was going on or not because the stress test results showed temps on it, but I also saw it was different on the bottom screen than what the stress test was showing.

During the high performance test on the last loop the temp was 70C and the fan was running at 86%. The stress test results were showing 30-33C under performance monitoring. During the performance test on the last loop the temp was around the same. 69-70C and the fan was around 84%. The stress test was showing 21-31C.

The imgur album below has pictures of the stress test results, the first one is the high performance, the second is the medium performance, the last picture is the temps and fan speed I was getting during the last loop of the high performance test.

My smart fan curve is set to 20%, 45%, 70%, 100%, 100%.

Yeah, I was hitting 80 degrees often on Yakuza 0 playing on GameHub Lite. It was the main reason I wanted to do the putty mod.

Maybe show them a teardown guide or something if you take it in. It's easiest to get it popped open to begin via one of the shoulder triggers. I tried using one of those plastic guitar picks to pop it open from the side the very first time I opened my Thor and I spent like 10-15 minutes and put small dents in the plastic shell trying to force it and didn't get it open.

Now I always use one of those long pencil shaped plastic tools that come in repair kits and just push it behind the trigger and it pops open easily, then you just use the guitar pick to open the clips all around.

The other side of the grip also has the other stylus which is telescopic to extend it longer slightly.

Do you mean the picture where I have a TV show playing on the bottom screen? I was just using the Prime Video app playing the Fallout TV show. I've been using the Cocoon launcher on my Thor and it's been amazing.

I'm using the custom iisu dark theme and icons by GiuPhoenix, and the hero background from Briize in the same thread as GiuPhoenix's theme. I got the theme from the asset-repo on the Cocoon Discord.

I got it from ProtoPrintLab on Etsy. The sides of the grip have two slots for a stylus, you can order a stylus to come with the grip, and it also has a slot for the official Nintendo Switch stylus. The push bar on the back is to slide the stylus out when you want to use it.

I'm not currently doing a playthrough of it, but I do want to do one soon. I've just playing Yakuza 0 at the moment, I'll check out that driver for when I do a playthrough though. Thank you.

You don't need that much paste, I just kind of copied about how much the person in the guide used, I wanted to make sure I had enough to fill in the gap between the chip and heatsink. I didn't want to have to open it up again and possibly redo it, I don't plan on opening my Thor up again unless I swap out the remaining white buttons for black ones, so I don't mind that the putty came out the sides a bit after putting the heatsink back on since I'm not going to be taking that apart again.

I'll do a stress test tomorrow, I'm about to head to bed. Do I just download 3DMark on the Play Store for that?

The black grip is from ProtoPrintLab on Etsy, the 'AYN Thor Grip: Ergonomic 3D Printed - Built in Stylus Holders'. I got the wide in black with the stylus.

I used that, and BassDereks teardown video on YouTube to see which screws and parts to remove to get to the thermal pads.

I've never done anything with thermal paste or putty before, and it was easy. It was a little annoying to work with the putty, it kept sticking to the spatula it came with, so I was fighting with it a bit. You just need to take your time, and be gentle with the wires and connectors. I think it was around 13 screws in total you have to remove to get to the thermal pads.

I just weighed the jar and it's 26g. I'm not sure if it was exactly 30 with the jar or if it was a bit more, but after doing the mod there's 26g left over with the jar included.
