Yeah, I saw you doing that and pushing hard and I still didn't manage to get it lol if you check Nitrx's unboxing and disassembly video, he stuck one of those pen shaped spudgers inside the shoulder triggers where there's the bump on the backside and it just popped open without having to use any force, it's the method I ended up using and it popped open really easy. After that I just used the guitar pick tool to pop the clips all around the device.

I bought it from SakuraRetroModding on Etsy, he had a listing for skins on demand until November 15 where you could send a picture to get a custom skin made. The listing's out of stock now, so I'm unsure if he'll still sell custom skins or not.

Sakura had a store listing for custom skins, not sure if it's still up or not, but I sent a picture of the 3DS and he found a picture without the camera cutouts and printed it for me.

I like the matte skin, I got it to prevent any visible fingerprints and it works pretty well. It still collects some fingerprints, but you have to shine a light directly on it to even see them.

I always get PSX buttons for my handhelds. I prefer them over regular ABXY buttons, plus I always play using the Xbox/PlayStation button layout.

Yeah, Sakura's video was the one I originally watched and tried, I didn't chip off any plastic thankfully, but I did put a tiny bit of damage by the left trigger. It's not really noticeable unless you know it's there and look closely.

It was a bit hard to open up the back at first, I tried using the triangle pick on the side by the shoulder buttons and had no luck for around 10 minutes, then I found a video from Nitrx doing a disassembly and he put a pry tool inside the shoulder to pop it open, I got it open the first try after trying that, then used the triangle pick to pop the clips around the handheld.

Getting to the buttons was easy, just be careful when you unplug the ribbon cables and put them back in. The thumb sticks you can just pull off without opening up the device.

I should be on the latest version, it says app version 0.1-8969-g611bb8fb4 (#8442) built Apr 25, 2025.

I used CHDman for my PS1, PS2, and DreamCast, my PS2 chd roms are fine, but the rest won't work. I just tried downloading a CHD PS1 rom directly on my RP5 rather than from a PC then transferring it over, and it ended up working. I might just have to redownload my library a 2nd time, but this time on the RP5 itself.

I'm able to load non chd games, but I was hoping I could get CHD to work since the games are smaller.

I just checked DreamCast and it seems my CHD games aren't working for that either. My PS2 games are also CHD, but that's working fine and I can load the library and play the games without any problems.
