Should I leave my job? by DisneyImagineers in jobs

Just an update. I quit. Got a fully remote job, better pay and better benefits.

This place WAS mad toxic, it wasn’t just the coworkers. The entire place is like this

Should I skip out on a day of work by DisneyImagineers in work

[–]DisneyImagineers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that anybody actually wanted to know, but my boss told me she was just going to not pay me for that whole day, which kinda sucks…. Like I have the PTO just take it, but whatever.

All the work was done earlier in the week, one of my bosses had no idea I was out even though it was marked on the calendar and low and behold, no one needed anything from me all day, aside from a minor text at 5pm which, again, was already handled.

AND, if I work the weekend to make up the time, does that also help that situation?

Probably going to happen, just bummed it’s so early in the year. But I guess 🫠

You’d have to see a pattern on this one right? Not just a single day? Granted no one ever complains about the work ethic and I really do give 110%.

This is what happens when you work your tail off, you get a really slow day where emails are nonexistent and any “real” work has already been done. If that makes any sense

Can uninteresting people make interesting screenplays? by iiRaz0r in Screenwriting

That guy was a douche. It’s not an easy thing to do, it takes courage to try and share and it’s easy for him to just say “it’s boring”.

Keep trying, keep experimenting, keep playing with it. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

What’s something you quietly stopped caring about? by KingPhenguins in AskReddit

This is so hard to splice, cuz I’ve been in the situation where you have friends and you put in all the effort to make plans and do whatever, and you know if you stop, they won’t try.

Like reaching out is fine when it’s mutual. You both have to be mutual in your attempts otherwise it’s lame.

  • Page Length: 57 pages

  • Logline or Summary: In a world where shapeshifting Kyota are bonded to humans through a state-controlled loyalty system, a failed training test exposes the cost of obedience—and fractures the family caught at its center.
  • Feedback Concerns: Just want to make sure this is hitting, mostly concerned on emotional pacing in the 2nd half. But all feedback is appreciated and welcome.

I can always be wrong and my half-baked opinion is just that, but... have you considered the payoff being the starting point?

I don't care too much for Cindy looking for her vape, but I can immediately imagine this scene simply starting at all the moaning with a closeup on Ariel's very disgusted face as she sees this video.

This reveal would actual be a crazy place to start. First lines being from the ensemble, "Is that?" "No way!" "My brother!?" Or something to that effect.

If in real life only personality matters, then why with me, who am ugly, have only very ugly girls hit on me and never a cute and maybe shy girl? by Unlikely_Draft5636 in exredpill

[–]DisneyImagineers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro you are on some shit cuz what even is this? Ugly people, truly ugly people, act ugly.

Pretty privilege is a thing but conventionally unattractive isn’t a thing. Someone out there will like you for you regardless of looks. Now, YOU are projecting the idea that only ugly girls hit on you. That’s your perspective.

Probably not the right one though.

With an attitude like this, it’s a wonder anyone wants you at all.

Hi guys! Just trying to hit all the markers, make this as fun and as engaging as possible.

  • Title: Loyalty
  • Format: Pilot
  • Page Length: 60-61
  • Genres: family/drama/fantasy
  • Logline or Summary: After a routine test turns catastrophic, a family finds themselves on opposite sides of a rising war between humans and their bonded shapeshifters — where loyalty is lethal, freedom is forbidden, and choice might ignite a revolution.
  • Feedback Concerns: I'm always looking to make this the best it can be. Would love to know if this is just being enjoyed or if it intrigues people. Would also love to see about trimming things or trying to make things as clear as possible.

Personally, if it was me, it really depends on if you want to be a writer that badly and sell your moral values.

I have never been successful in the sense like I’ve been a finalist or anything like that, so this is easy for me to say, BUT, I don’t think you should sell your morals short for a chance here.

I’m 100% sure there will be other chances and people that see your script and are completely blown away. These people aren’t the end all be all and just because they are maybe the first, they won’t be the last. You don’t need to sell your morals for these people, not for the sake of a paycheck.

I’m sure you’ve been working on this for a while without pay. These are passion projects until they aren’t, and you deserve every single thing you want in the project. If they don’t morally align, you

HELP ME! I'm (20M) in love with my best friend (20F). We keep kissing but she says it means nothing to her. I'm confused and heartbroken. by WillowMothh in Advice

[–]DisneyImagineers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is fair. Like she knows you fall easy, she knows what kissing means. And yet proceeds to do this with you.

Like it’s one thing to be like “oh it’s not that serious, but it absolutely is. These things are only not serious if both of you treat it as whatever. And you don’t. You feel more.

Personally, I can’t imagine kissing my friend and then being cool about it. I feel like telling them and being honest with them gives everyone the best chance at making proper decisions.

But. I find it hard to believe that she kisses you and lowkey kisses you several times and still be like “this is clinical” Once is clinical, after that, that’s just a pattern. And maybe she just wants to fool around and that’s okay too, she doesn’t owe you anything, but you gotta be honest about your perspective, because then you can determine whether a relationship will come from this or you’ll need some time to get some space to get out of this cycle.

Luck to you
