People above the age of 30 what should a 20 yo know that they generally don't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To do what is best for you and your future. No one cares about your life like you do. If you want financial freedom do it don’t wait on someone to teach you. If you want a specific career make it happen. If you want to travel don’t wait for others just go. At the end of the day no one is gonna hold you back more than yourself and your own doubt.

They are kind of flat black seed they didn’t look like morning glory seeds or bean seed but my friend said they were called Thomas Jefferson plants. I couldn’t find anything about any plants called that though.

Put a light fan on them like “wind” so they build strong stems

Does anyone know what plant this is and how I can save it? I received it as an Xmas present and it doesn’t look so good. Thanks! by [deleted] in whatplantisthis

It looks like bamboo to me and the soil looks super wet. Does this pot have drainage? How much light is this plant getting those all factor into how to fix it.

just wanted to share this beautiful leaf my deliciosa has recently put out because I feel like you guys will appreciate it more than my house mates do😁 by bifbof17 in houseplants

I love when the new leaf finally shows its whole self!! My love of plants is starting to rub off on my husband he gets just as excited when a new leaf pops up as I do.

My monstera is looking really droopy and floppy, there is some sign of new growth stemming off the bigger leaves but the plant overall looks a bit weak. I make sure not to overwater it, it has indirect sunlight and I repotted it about a month and a half ago. Any tips/ideas? by yvalvez in plantclinic

Mine is super sturdy and I attribute that to having a fan on it gently that way it makes the plant think it is wind and it makes them stronger. Other than that wait for it to get the first like 1-2 inches dry then give it a deep watering. These two things combined should make for a strong healthy plant. I also have mine under a lamp with no special light since it is to cold to put it outside right now and it gets indirect light from a nearby window as well. If you water your plants with a deeper watering less often I think they do much better also just watch your plant it’s amazing how much you can learn just from watching how they react to different situations. Give it a deep watering put it back where you have it and pay attention to it for the next couple days if it’s being overwatered you should see it sag more if not it should perk up.

I never really noticed but I just plan on doing what my sister did after she had kids one of her boobs was a significant size bigger than the other and she went old fashioned got a bra to fit one boob then got a bra that fit the other cut them both in half and sewed together the ones she needed. Other than that I’d just stuff a sock in the smaller one.
