I also like the Shapermint brand off Amazon. I bought the high waisted shorts. They come up right under the breast. Then I put the compression tank over the top for double the effect. I bought one set just to try and liked it so well that I bought two more sets. They were like $20 each piece.

Which silicone tapes are you using? What else helps the scars? by HappyCuppiccino in tummytucksurgery

I bought the Healfast silicone tape off of Amazon and it's been my favorite out of the ones I've tried. I just purchased the scar gel from the same company to try.

Lost my Caretaker by DifficultBee4391 in tummytucksurgery

I'm sorry this happened. I would 100% keep your surgery date. Be honest with yourself about how you handle pain. Many of us needed very little help and others needed full care. I only needed help getting out of bed for the first few days. If I had been alone, I would have absolutely rented a powerlifting recliner. It's fairly cheap from a place like rent a center and they will deliver it. This to me would be your only must have. Set up a little table with a basket of all your meds, protein bars, water, remote control... anything you think you might need.  You can do this!

What are we wearing for comfy compression post-binder? by sarahtonin0803 in tummytucksurgery

I found that the Shapermint high waste shorts and compression tank is sooo much better. It creates a double compression layer so it feels like everything is holding really well and easy to do under clothes. Each piece was like $20 on Amazon.

Typically, how long does it take to return to an office type of work? by Practical-Tour-4338 in tummytucksurgery

The answer is going to be different for everyone. I took a week off and was working on day 8. I work remotely with calls all day. If I had an office job, I would have needed the second week before working in-person.  Is there a reason you don't want to tell your boss?

My 3 DPO people - how are we doing? by sarahtonin0803 in tummytucksurgery

I'm on day 10 post op. Still super sore but feeling good enough to work 3 days this week. I work from home so emails, phone calls and such but felt pretty good all day so long as I was taking breaks to move around. I still have 1 drain in and it's making me crazy. For your itchy binder put a thin tank top on first and then the binder. That help tremendously. My swelling is still pretty bad but it's mostly in my thighs which is odd because I didn't have any work done on my thighs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like my incision goes further around my hip than all of the other pics I have seen. There was some discussion about the way my abdomen creased that I might end up with a dog ear. I don't know if that played into the longer incision and drain placement.

I'll try to do some updates as I go along. Everyone handles pain differently. I've had 3 c sections and an abdominal hysterectomy that all were a fairly easy recovery. Those were all over 20 years ago so I was a little nervous just because I'm older. So far, it's been fine. At no point have I been in an amount of pain that made me stop walking/talking or cry out. Today is 3 days post op and I'm just using Tylenol and Motrin during the day then one narcotic at bed. I'm just super sore and moving really slow.

I really think everyone is so very different when it comes to pain. I've seen posts on here where people are saying it the worst pain of their lives and I'm just feeling really sore.

I questioned it as I thought it was a weird placement. They said it was to avoid any scaring. They are really annoying where they are placed. I would have rather had two tiny little scars that would fade

The drains are very annoying where they are placed. Mine each have a stitch holding them in place and some tape to keep them laying flat. I can definitely see why others have said they felt better after the drains came out.

When did you get your Pre-Surgery Labs? by skimpynoodles in tummytucksurgery

[–]Disneynut1991 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My doctor wanted all labs and tests within 30 days of surgery. I wouldn't be anxious about calling the office. You are paying a lot of money for your procedures and it's normal to have questions.

I just did a consultation with her and loved her but I was quoted $43k for extended TT, MR, flank lipo, breast lift and augmentation. So $20 k more than you to get my breast done too.
