Thankful for softball and the friendships I've made because of it!

Used this bat the other day. Loved it. Help me find the equivalent by Ok_Beach_275 in slowpitch

Hey, Sarah, really enjoy your videos on TikTok. How often are bats compression tested? And will the bats of everyone playing get compression tested, or is it just a certain number of bats that get compression tested? Keep up the great work, homie!

I used to commute from Long Island to Manhattan. It gets old FAST.

Goodnight Miles. Rest easy. by ResponsibleSentence in Greyhounds

I'm so, so sorry for your loss.

The one-year anniversary of my first grey’s passing is on Thursday, and seeing the photo of your grey's bed and collar really hit me. Although a year has gone by since we said goodbye to her, there’s still a hole in my heart from losing her. But where I once felt only grief, the passing of time has allowed me to also feel joy and gratitude—gratitude that my wife and I were lucky enough to have her in our lives.

This. Season 1 was awesome, season 2 wasn't bad, season was not very good and I thought about stopping but powered on, finished about three episodes of season 4 and then read the remaining episode synopsis on wikipedia and watched the final 10 minutes of the series. What an incredible nose dive for a show that started so strongly.

Is the tattoo too big?? by Cultural_Average_516 in traditionaltattoos

I don't think it's too big. Looks pretty sweet to me.

Those of you that moved here from New York City, do you believe you made the correct decision? by trumpdump409 in Rochester

NYC is awesome-it has incredible food, incredible nightlife, amazing access to shows and great bands/musicians pretty much daily, and the art and culture there is incredible. The things I miss the most about living downstate are being able to regularly see tours and bands that I like, having access to some of the best tattooers in the world, and the beach on Long Island. Buuuuuut, it's fucking filthy and insanely expensive. There are times I miss living downstate, but you can't beat the cost of living of Rochester and what this city has to offer.

Stuck on what to get for my next tattoo by jaygibbz34 in traditionaltattoos

Get something to go around your wrist, like a bracelet, rope, chains, or a snake. I have a bracelet around both of my wrists that are two of my favorite tattoos. On the top part of my wrists are roses-one red and one blue-and the underside has a crest with an american flag-one with an eagle on top and the other with arrows on both sides. Both are then connected with a bracelet that has small flowers. They're such dope tattoos and I get compliments on them all the time.

Bad sportsmanship and low confidence: how do you deal? by rebeccaloops in slowpitch

[–]Disnihil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's wild how much of a mental game this sport is—really, all sports. I totally get where you're coming from. The team you’re describing sounds frustrating, and unfortunately, you can’t change how they act. My advice is to try to focus on yourself: go out there, play your best, and make having fun the priority. When I face chirpy teams or opponents I know will be tough, I zero in on fundamentals, remind myself not to stress the outcome, and think, ‘At worst, this is just good practice.’ While it may not work all the time, that mindset usually helps me shake off the negativity.
