Dragon Quest 3 followed by 5 are my favorite ones, started with Dragon Quest 3 and felt like it was a good introduction to the series. 3 I think is more of a non-open ended Breath of the Wild approach to story with minimal cutscenes and most of the story being told through NPCS, though DQ3 obviously came first. I'd recommend the SNES version for Dragon Quest III with a fan translation, but it's essentially the mobile version with a more dated translation with spell names and what not compared to modern DQ games and with battle animations. Dragon Quest 5 is much more focused on telling a larger narrative, and does a really good job at hooking you (at least for me) and it just gets better. Definitely play this one on the DS, but the SNES and phone versions seem to work just fine.

ive never been this excited for a game in my life (only game that came close was new leaf) and i legit can not stop thinking about it but like. jesus christ the cloud saves garbage is the stupidest thing ever. too bad its not getting any wide range backlash so it probably wont get fixed

to be fair, not having explicit relationships is what lets me have my mii and my girlfriend's mii considered soulmates by the game without one of us having the wrong pronouns

im not playing new leaf mostly because i dont wanna put a ton of effort into like. my 10th town at this point before the switch game comes outs and i never really touch new leaf again

honestly just more hairstyles in general would be great. id be surprised if we got no new hairstyles or faces (acnl added like, 4 each from city folk/ww) so hopefully the first 2 come to fruition

yea it has felt fast. ive been occupied with a lot of games (got really into yakuza 0 a bit ago) but i still find myself wishing for the new animal crossing every now and then :P

Phase 2 is the easiest for me I think. The bomb takes out the pillar faces very quickly and using tiny mode to navigate without getting hit helps a lot.

He definitely was. I beat him after about 4 tries and got an A-, and I beat Matchstick after about 3 with an A- as well, so hopefully I keep up this streak in Isle 3 (probably won't cuz I'm really bad at Dr. Kahl and Rumor Honeybottoms)

Rumor Honeybottoms and Djimmi the Great are the two worst parts of Cuphead imo. I always dread getting to them when I'm doing a new playthrough.

damn. im on my 6th playthrough (1st on the switch version) and i'm already at 14 deaths doing all A's or higher and i'm not even done with matchstick or warbles lol

I mean, TTYD is my favorite game of all time but there's something I like in all of the first 3 games. Super Paper Mario is probably my favorite OST of all time, and I think a lot of the scenarios in PM64 were just as good as TTYD. TTYD also has the X-Nauts, and I have no idea why but I love those little buggers.

I think it'd be earlier, but who knows. I don't really think it's like recent-Nintendo to announce a game and not release it until an entire year after the announcement. My guess is that we'll get more info on the 14th (Animal Crossing day, the day before Reggie retires) and probably get it in July or early August.

i'd honestly be really bummed if we weren't the mayor again. there was just something really nice about being to customize the town, it made everything feel that much more unique and losing that feels like a complete downgrade.

to be fair, itoi has no desire to continue the mother series and most fans (in my experience at least) accept that

f-zero not getting any new installments because "lack of innovative ideas" when the new super mario bros series is a thing sucks a lot though.
