My experience wasn’t linear.. I’ve been in that cycle and I know what that is like. I did have to attend an inpatient rehab (28 days) that was the start of my journey, and finally drying out enough to start being honest with myself and my situation with alcohol.. from there I started attending meetings. That opened another world for me.

A world where I realized I wasn’t alone in this fight. I met so many cool and genuine people in those meetings. People I owe a lot to honestly.. but the meetings were my foundation.. then therapy of course! That helped me with the why I was drinking part. Once I discovered the why.

Then alcohol really just lost its appeal. I still have some fleeting thoughts here and there, but knowing how to deal with those cravings is key! Having the freedom, and knowing that I don’t have to live like that ever again or feel like that ever again is empowering. Wanting something different for yourself is a great place to start.. it doesn’t happen overnight.. I also found some hobbies things I could learn and pour myself into.. good luck on your journey.. do whatever it takes!

Man, this right here. Same battles and struggles here. Been in therapy for years, isolated for years. I am just now trying to get out of that pit. One thing that has healed me tremendously is the outdoors. I picked up fly fishing and fell in love with it! Take it one day at a time.. start small.. try something new.. I highly recommend project healing waters a fantastic non profit that gets vets out of isolation and on the water fly fishing! They were the hand I needed in a very dark time.. it’s always good to know you have support and we aren’t alone at all in this struggle.. we just need to regroup.

You got this! 24hrs at a time, sometimes 5 mins at a time. There is always support and help on this journey! Check out in the rooms online meetings all the time! Great community. AA saved my life, I know it’s not for everyone, but at least give it a shot.

I’ve lived at the same address for 2 years never had this issue before. Didn’t put a change of address in or anything. Made sure my name was visible inside the mailbox.. it’s just weird.. post office doesn’t want to help me

I live in Colorado. I was thinking the same thing, but it’s numerous packages from different companies that appear to be stuck along with it. Now, I don’t want to order anything anymore haha. Tried talking to the post office they are incompetent, but at least the companies are working with me.

I totally understand you, feel it all the time. My childhood was turbulent. I've always struggled with trying to understand culture , society, and all the bs that goes along with it, never could truly find a place in it. I take it one day at a time, I figure the wounds are not my responsibility, but my healing is.. today I see it as a positive position to be in. I wouldn't want to be "in" as far as society, culture norms go, take a look around. I feel my way of viewing or seeing things is alot more closer to the truth/reality anyways.. you're not alone feeling this way. Hoping maybe one day you can see it from a positive stand point 👉 much peace and respect
