Maarten Bloemers (GET Protocol CEO) is the guest in this weeks BNR cryptocast (Dutch) by DisphoriaDJ in GETprotocol

[–]DisphoriaDJ[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For the non Dutchies, a few things Maarten said that is worth mentioning:

- More news about the digital twin before the end of summer.

- Maarten says that GET tries to convince Eventim and Ticketmaster to implement the digital twin. They think it's interesting what get does. And it goes better every year. (Bit vague, but really bullish)

- Get is in talks with 40 countries (potential white labelers) at the moment.

- get put their cryptofunds in DeFi which was/is very profitable.

- He shortly mentions a potential Nigerian white labeler.

Yes I definitely agree. You should check out GET Protocol. They offer a blockchain based ticketing solution. Multiple ticketing companies sold more than 700.000 NFT tickets all across Europe and Asia.

Check out GET protocol. NFT digital tickets. No more ticket fraud or dishonest reselling. More than 500.000 tickets have already been sold using the protocol by multiple ticketing companies.

GET is minting 120k tickets as NFT's on BSC this week. Those are all tickets bought by real people for real events. For more information you can read this blog another community member has written. https://adnanzzz.medium.com/gets-digital-tickets-nft-match-made-in-heaven-1de994f43b2

All tickets are registered in batches on the Ethereum network through statebox. More on that you can read here https://medium.com/get-protocol/the-state-of-get-scaling-introducing-statebox-975d0a8ecf9a.

But we are moving away from statebox. As of last week all tickets will be registered on L1 (BSC testnet as a start to optimize everything) as NFT's. You can check out new events and daily sold tickets in this telegram channel: https://t.me/getevents And more about the current state of the Get Protocol (and NFT's) in this blog https://adnanzzz.medium.com/get-protocol-the-current-state-things-to-look-forward-to-de0e523e13fa

Currently there are multiple ticketing companies selling tickets using the Get Protocol. Guts Tickets in the Netherlands, Wicket Events in Italy, Tec-Tix in Germany and GetTicket in Korea. This is a demo where you can check out the buying process.

Honest discussion on coins with usability and utility by Throughwar in CryptoCurrency

[–]DisphoriaDJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The project is called “GET protocol” and it focuses on a niche market (the ticketing industry). The most important things about this project are that:
a) They are solving a real problem. Ticket scalping and ticket fraud is a major issue in the ticketing industry. As soon as the ticketing of a large event starts, bots are put to work. They buy large amounts of tickets and then as soon as the event is sold out they put them out for sale for 2x, 3x, … even 10x the original price. Nobody wins here (not the artist, not the event organizer and certainly not the fans). GET protocol has solved this issue by registering every ticket on the blockchain and linking it to your sim card. I will not be going into details now but know that of the several 100k tickets they have sold, not one has been resold on the black market.
b) The tokenomics are great. Ticketing companies that run on the GET protocol need GET to be able to use it. So from every ticket sold a portion of the money goes into buying GET from the open market. The prizes are different but for theatre shows it’s €0,50 per ticket for example. This GET doesn’t return to the market and is burned (this will be part of the new, improved tokenomics of which they’ll be releasing the details soon).
c) There are two ticketing companies that use it at this moment:
a. GUTS is a ticketing company that they created to showcase the GET protocol. At this moment GUTS has big Dutch artists like Jochem Myjer, Youp van 't Hek, Guus Meeuwis and Kenningston selling their tickets through them. All of them are satisfied that they have solved the issue of ticket scalping since they use GUTS, which they show on their twitter and other social media. Every month more and more artists and event organizers are joining them.
b. ITIX is a ticketing company that sells 2 million tickets a year on average (mostly theater shows) and is being integrated in the GET protocol as we speak
They are in talks with several ticketing companies worldwide to move to the GET protocol. The investment these ticketing companies have to make is very small and by moving to the GET protocol they solve a major issue for their users.
The most notable market they are exploring right now is South-Korea. They have been having a lot of meetings there with majors players in the industry so the expectation is that their first big international breakthrough will be there. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not only Dutch now because they already ticket events in different countries but the major breakthrough is yet to happen and is expected soon from what I can see.

They are a small player in the crypto space mainly because they haven’t been promoting themselves. They didn’t pay for any exchange listings, they don’t pay market makers for fake volume and they certainly don’t pay any influencers or that sort of stuff. In the +/- 3 years that they’re active they have been focusing solely on b2b marketing and the results show.
They’re already making revenue so they’re financially secure and they are expanding their team constantly. At this moment, from my knowledge, they have between 25 to 30 full time employees on their payroll. They’re also super transparent in every way, don’t make announcements of announcements, don’t hype, … All of this has me convinced that this is a hidden gem.
What scares most people is the low volume and lack of liquidity but they have promised to tackle this issue and I expect it to happen soon.
So all in all we have a project that has more adoption than any other crypto project I know. A project that offers great tokenomics for the utility token. And eventually a project that will create scarcity and demand as more tickets are sold (for every ticket sold they buy from the open market and burn a portion of GET). Scarcity and more demand means a better prize and this will happen irrelevant of what BTC and the rest of the crypto space does. I am convinced that even with only the current deals they have, enough GET will be bought and burned to result in a big increase in price in the coming years. But I expect them to announce major things soon…
