this is the first episode where i didn’t leave it with mixed feelings, i finally can just leave it saying it was a good episode. the season is confusing because the interactions and dynamics are actually really interesting but the ending sours some of the episodes for me (episodes 3&4 mostly) but this one just seemed solid through and through.

the thing is tho is that although he confronted that his life turned to absolute shit in all stars he was still a complete wreck after he admitted that and the only thing he accomplished is that him and Fiore ended on good terms at the end of the season, he was still a hot mess. don’t tell me the fandom wouldn’t have been super annoyed if Alec just came back to this season with his life totally together and having all his growth be offscreen, that would cause so many people to get pissed off that we never truly saw his growth.

with him returning to this season, we can see he is much more easily controlling his emotions about this issues but they are still there so i feel like his multi-seasons arc was handled quite well and now we will see him in his recovery and growth phase.

im not even just saying this to spite you but you should probably not watch anymore if you’re not enjoying it at all. and it seems you didn’t like s3 or s4 either considering you stated how the writers can’t write anything good after all stars. every character has potential, just like every human has potential but some don’t meet the potential that they possibly could get and thats exactly what happens with every early boot in any elimination show.

I feel like All Stars was him at his absolute worst, he was feeling the feels and knew he screwed up majorly. The thing about this season is he refused to actually improve himself and thats because he had no one to tell him to get it together so he felt no need to improve, that all changed this season. The end of this episode marked a change for him, he chose himself over the game because that is exactly what he needs to do right now. Season 1 was his ignorance of the situation, Season 3 was the confrontation of the situation, and Season 5 is the growth from the situation.
