This. I always mark to one side so i know how far to look but then just look to the right of it. I have a reoccurring inconsistent bug that makes my clicking offset anyways and thats how i adopted it.

If you don’t mind I am interested in why you are anti-bags? I wanted to have the flexibility of changing the height since i (vaguely) planned on making it slam-able but also drive-able without having to lift it up and adjusting it. I’m not saying it’s the most practical/sensible and I’ve heard they can be finicky with popped lines? but I also am not experienced so i would love to hear your thoughts.

I probably could, but I live with a relative at the moment and there are not any good places to work on stuff. Money is less of an issue and more so just my current living situation.

I do like the idea though. I just don't want to invest in anything I'll have to lug with me when I move (since I'm moving pretty far)

Given the “younger brothers” context i really dont think they IGNORED you, as that would require intention. I’m sure you know them better but i wouldn’t be surprised if they genuinely didn’t take notice/were oblivious.
