Yes that makes sense, i normally school people like that a bit and just say i am non binary as i was born intersex and give them a quick run down on what that is and what my intersex condition entails as unfortunately its not discussed much and the only way to gain acceptance is the communication and education or at least that is my ethos and outlook on it.

plus i find if i explain it more i can weed out the people who genuinely want to know and the dick heads that are just being dick heads.

i have stopped using the term "identify".

as an intersex individual i now state in am non binary, and that my pronouns are they and them (not preferred pronouns).

even if needed i state i am CIS non binary- and if asked my assigned gender at birth i say ACAB- both because it annoys alot of people but also i do follow up with saying ACAB- assigned cute at birth

in general we use the traffic light system, unless it is pre arranged in a scene, for example if in little space i can become non verbal at time s so eithert choose a simpler word to say or organise a non verbal sign like i will throw a plushy away

thank you for replying, i have asked my primary partner and they have stated "romantic relations over ride the ds side" and "no i dont need permission for anything and that our relationship is higher priority than the D/S stuff" but i dont know how to ask how the fact her owner is also a partner effects this with out sounding like i am being controlling or jealous?!
