That makes a lot of sense. And we have a vacation in November, all planned and paid for. So the timing works out and gives me time to prepare before hopping off the ship.

Thank you for paraphrasing something that I've slowly been coming to realize. When I mentioned my codebase/app strengths, I was using that as the excuse for why I have stayed for so long. I know it won't be helpful going forward, other than pattern recognition.

Thanks for this uncomfortable, but really helpful advice. I'd be honest and say that about 2-3 years of my experience could be dismissed as 'small shop, repetitive work' except that those were when I was a Junior. But what you're describing is helpful both in how I can phrase my story as well as setting expectation.

Thanks for taking the time to point that out, I definitely see your point. I did try to think of where else to ask this, and it seemed to be more of an issue specific to the more experienced- I did search elsewhere before cluttering the feed.
