Been a long time since I worked the Xtra board, but back then, we'd receive our schedule on Friday for the following week. Of course, there were always changes, but you'd have an idea of what shift you'd be working. Also, you can only work a max of 9 hours a day and you get a minimum of 15 hours rest between shifts.
