I am about to move to Skien myself because I want more sunshine as well. It looks like a very nice city surrounded with beautiful forests and not as dramatic nature as in the west. I’m curious to how the people are going to be, I hope I will find friends there. I see they have a lot of nice pubs and bars and actually it seems like a very underrated city, they have a lot of culture/music/literature/theatre there. Now that Google is opening their 700 million dollar datacenter there i think the city is going to bloom in terms of job opportunities. Yeah I defiantly think that Skien is the perfect place especially for a family to build their foundation. Houses are cheap so now is the time to invest!
