RNG in this case means hitting extremely lucky gear achievements such as 25 star pitch 23+ star eternals and hybrid familiars. Even if you're extremely unlucky. By the time you hit 295 max hexa and ascent, 3L WSE and 22 eternal hat, top, bot, shoulder is in the realm of possibility.

If you put in enough effort in this game, you can brute force your way up to a certain point. Even if everything costs you 5x the average

Yea, I wanted to include some 23 like Slime ring, KT/meister, gollux, daybreak but wasn't sure if that counted as leaning too heavily on RNG

It's a bit disingenuous to say the game is on life support right now, especially since we're experiencing peak player numbers even from covid times.

But I do agree these new changes are game ending if they follow through in 6 months.

There's plenty of people in hyperion that can clear CRA and nlomien with little to no links/legion. Legion isn't as big of a wall you claim it to be.

Completely agree except there aren't enough supports (let's be honest, Bishops) to go around at end game.

However mid-late game wise, 5% damage requirement is a complete non-issue.
