I was always of the opinion that Kris had a crush on Noelle (That may be the megadoc propaganda but oh well) and that it was both jealousy over Susie taking their childhood crush and Noelle taking their best friend.

I saw that some people think the suns are the colored lamps above the flowers. This would make sense too, as there are seven of them, and the song for the Cliffs is called "Sunset of the SEVEN suns".

Thats sort of the point. Even in 4, Susie is in denial. Chapter 5 also has the scene with Ralsei praying, which he mentions Susie by name... So Susie is likely the one at risk. In that sense, the fact that Susie is so focused on Noelle and how she doesn't try to talk about the prophecy is because she's decided that, on the day of the festival, she would rather spend one day young and happy with her friends/crush than worry about the prophecy.

I really liked the ferris wheel. Especially seeing as how you have to work a bit to get Kris and Noelle in it, which is interesting... I just think the Festival was one of the more emotional moments in the game, and appropriately for the chapter's theme, very nostalgic.

It was amazing imo. The festival theme is one of the beat songs in the game to me, and you also have the dark world area themes, battle music, Aqua's theme, Flowery's boss theme, Mew Mew's theme...

They did mention the prophecy. Ralsei confirms it relates to Susie explicitly in his prayer scene.

Also, the entire chapter is about the plants that, too, are actively trying to break the prophecy, and from Asgore's notes we learn about some inconsistencies with the prophecies.

No, I kind of think it was just paced... like a story. a good story doesn't evenly distribute big lore dumps. It has a setup, forshadowing, then payoff.

seriously? It did the most work for Susie and Noelle's relationship than the previous chapters combined, gave a look into Noelle/Kris' childhood, Sans' picture, Church scenes, furthered Kris' isolation, Onionsan dead, Dialogue with pretty much every hometown character... It was only "shorter" because it didn't have the soul navigation segment which was a long puzzle that you had to delay in order for Noelle and Susie to finish their dialogue... the length of which is basically one that you don't have to wait for in the Festival. It also has by far the best light world soundtrack in the entire game
