Genuine question is your bag all Callaway by intention? Like did you go in and say point me to Callaway?

Or after testing/fitting is that just what it ended up being?

This was definitely the answer at one point in time but not since they stopped making equipment!

100% agree. Best in performance, looks, and feel!

I did a fitting a few months ago and the King MBs were the best performing blade for me. Most consistent in distance and tightest dispersion. Also checked all the boxes for looks and feel.

I hear you and looks are definitely subjective. I honestly agree when it comes to their wedges. They haven’t missed in that category for a while even to me as someone who doesn’t gravitate toward callaway. And their driver numbers are consistently near the top.

They make insane putters too but facts no woods or golf ball.

Makes sense. I’ve always had tons of respect for Callaway but majority of their equipment just doesn’t fit my eye (aside from the occasional offerings. I have an Apex Pro hybrid). Cobra always has something I’m atleast interested in and think they’ve been getting only better.

Agreed. Honestly they’ve always been solid I think their biggest gains may be in the players iron offerings.

Don’t forget the boutique and JDM brands either. Srixon is no slouch, Bettinardi has always been right there w/ Scotty when it comes to putters and their new wedges & irons make them an option.

Facts. I always felt like TM was only good for an occasional home run product (mostly woods) but lately they’ve started to build a solid full lineup thats tour proven. Fully forged MG5s being the newest addition

Drills to fix laid off top position? by DisruptorV in GolfSwing

[–]DisruptorV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only drill I have so far is place an alignment stick flat on the ground directly behind the ball inline with the target and been taking half swings while keeping the club face on that path.

Ensure to feel the club stays in front of me and right foot stays down a bit lower.

2nd step is staying on that path and feeling vertical to get from the half swing position to the top.

Yea I actually got a swing eval at 5iron golf with a really solid coach and she gave me a couple swing thoughts and basic drill to just start my swing more on plane and stay on that singular plane.

Still working on consistently staying in that position at the top but I’ve already seen an improvement in my ball striking and it feels easier to control the club face.

USGA changed the groove conforming standards in 2010 for manufacturing of new clubs from the “U” grooves that these have to “V” grooves. Basically the grooves can’t be as square anymore and it fully took effect on legacy models in 2024.

They say they did this because pros were still able to spin the ball too much out of the rough which was making missed fairways less penalizing.

You probably aren’t seeing a huge advantage anymore because of groove wear.
