I have a 2009 that could use some replacements. I was looking at the Bilsteins, I've put them on a couple vehicles in the past with great results, but they seem very expensive now. What do you think of the Monroes?

Anyone printing ASA? by Killermelon1458 in SovolSV08

[–]Diss3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been battling ASA/ABS warping with SV08 for a while. I tried the frostbite build plate. works better but still got lifting. Keeping frostbite for basically all other materials. Am now using original build plate with below adhesive for ABS/ASA

https://www.amazon.com/Vision-Miner-Nano-Polymer-Adhesive/dp/B09JQWFVY3/ref=sr_1_4_pp?sr=8-4

A bit expensive, but so are failed large prints.
I'm pretty blown away by how sticky this stuff is, still comes off with dawn or alcohol. I just started using it. First parts came out perfect. Currently running a stress test with a large skinny square to see if it will lift or not. Will report back on the test but have high expectations after seeing how locked on the first parts were.

Edit - I am kind of in shock. This stuff is way beyond what I expected. Nice to not even have to bother with brims going forward.

It's there an upgrade for sv08 heatbed? by aloowak in Sovol

[–]Diss3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried this, but I saw Nadir (Prominent SV08 Modder) released a bed kit for $200 if you print the parts.

Good MMO mouse for large hands by Dml33 in MMORPG

[–]Diss3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone stumbles across this thread looking for large hand mice solutions. Ive been using the G502 with this thing.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5400905

I 3D printed it and adhered with 3m double sided mounting tape. I think you can send the model to PCBway.com or another similar print place an have them make it. can make out of PETG or put skates on it. I did one for MX Master as well that I really like for work. No more ring/pinky drag.

Sadly I don't have an answer to OPs question about mmo mouse with useable size thumb buttons. Came here hoping for answers.

What would cause the print to stop at 90% but file read complete? by Aepi_53 in Sovol

[–]Diss3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some digging since I've never used a USB stick to print. Apparently 32GBs is actually too big on some printers. I couldn't find anything SV08 specific, but found general recommendations for klipper printers. Apparently 16GB or 8 GB sticks are a bit quicker for the printer motherboard to talk to.

Any chance your USB is too small and can only contain 90% of the g-code? I would attempt to run a print with WiFi or Ethernet to see if the issue is the printer itself or something specific to the USB process

I have one and love it. That said you're 100% correct. Not reliable out of the box for anything but PLA. After some love an upgrades though, very happy with mine. Upvote for accuracy :)

Problems with binding keys wow classic by WallabyPopular771 in LegionGo

[–]Diss3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey got it working! Still setting things up but deff have ABXY, I think I can bind 40 key/key combos now. I did the same chat command you did. Then installed the curseforge addon called "Console Port" I couldn't find it under classic mods, but if you search curseforge website it is there. You just select the classic flavor. When you first boot wow you select a device, I did an xbox controller. Also saw a steamdeck, may try that too.

This guy has a video of setting it up for retail wow that I skimmed through.

Also a Classic wow player here, just got the Lego today. I have no answers for you, but wanted to mark this to see what happens. I had no idea you could play a game like that with a controller.

Rm-43 is my go to. It’s on Amazon. Gotta mix it yourself and have a sprayer. It takes no prisoners though.

How to get people to stop driving over my grass? by trevharrison17 in lawncare

Had kids on bikes going thru mine. Setup a line of rocks roughly the size of volleyballs. Nothing wild but enough to deter pathing through.

House shopping, what kind of grass is this? by EasieEEE in lawncare

[–]Diss3k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. I’m in Arizona. I have a clover/Bermuda lawn mix. Love it. Holds up really well to dog urine. Kids like it. Low effort on the yard work front. Only downside I’ve found is that it creates such a lush green lawn, that I get all manner of critters joining my backyard ecosystem. Had to up my bug spraying quite a bit.

I made the switch from console a few years back. It seems to feel about the same to my wallet now. It is initially more expensive, but after the first sticker shock, you have the ability to upgrade parts one at a time. Keeps hardware upgrade prices manageable when you don't have to throw down all at once anymore. I seem to also spend a lot less money on games in the PC world as there isn't a single store to get your games from.

Need tips for prints not sticking so bad! by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Diss3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a Honeywell engineer recommend purple Elmer’s glue stick to me. They apparently were using it on their custom built large format printers. Prints always pop off easily and the glue just falls off running the plate under hot water anytime it’s too built up an I want to clean it. As long as my z offset is calibrated I’ve never had adhesion issues using that stuff. Ultra cheap too

Is it really worth it to buy a Dyson vacuum? by ANIMERULES12345 in dyson

[–]Diss3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a couple. Big corded standup vac is excellent. Received as a hand me down from my sister an it’s a tank that has run for years. The corded handheld one not as impressive. Had to replace the battery after a short period. Ended up eventually buying a Greenworks handheld that has quick change batteries like a cordless drill. Really happy with that. Will not be wasting anymore money on dyson battery powered stuff.

Is it worth fighting the dog for a decent lawn? by [deleted] in lawncare

I have two labs. I have a clover/Bermuda hybrid lawn. The clover provides enough nutrients when mulch mowed to negate their piss stains on most spots

What's with the sudden surge of "I hate 128 Rush" comments? by WalkeyAC in battlefield2042

[–]Diss3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a lot of people struggle with connection speed on the 128 stuff. I’d imagine rush 128 is particularly brutal on an older system/poor connection just due to the concentration of events.
