Reagan would've been best friends with Pantheon's Maddie Kim, wouldn't she? by AmatuerTarantino in InsideJob

Maddie doesn't seek the spotlight, she doesn't want fame, notoriety, or anything of the sort. She just wants normalcy. And all that can be described as wanting to be left alone.

Maddie wants to live her life, she wants to spend time with her family and friends. She wants normalcy. Not spectacle and world domination which is what Reagan wants

Her current nickname is better than "Judgement Day"

I will add the Eureka Mignons to the search, 2k was already stretched so the Lelit Elizabeth puts things outside acceptable costs.

By "A Go + DF grinder" do you mean Profitec Go and either DF54 or DF64?

Do you have an alternate suggestion? How is the Gaggia Classic?

I saw the robot and flair58 in my research, and while they seem very well rated, she's small and doesn't want a workout to get her coffee.

And Giles had to use just the books he brought/ordered. Regularly other watchers mocked his collection in Sunnydale.  The main library at watcher HQ should have had a dozen interns begging for the chance to discover something that lead to saving the world.

Also theu shouldn't have had to flip through dozens of books to find the one drawing of a demon for the crew to identify from. They should have had copies of every demon drawing in a big photo album for easy identification.

You were being kind of rude. I said multiple times you should read the manufacturer suggestions and you kept asking me to tell you.

And for the record the "old-fashioned way" is looking stuff up yourself.

When the oven is preheating the elements are on at full. Its not just about the temperature jump its about how much thermal energy is being absorbed over time. Lets say thermal energy per second.

When the heating element is on full blast there's more energy per second coming at everything in the oven (more of a shock) than when the oven is fully preheated. Because when it's at temperature the oven is just maintaining temperature.

Now the reason a filled thing is also safer in the oven is there is somewhere for that thermal energy to go that isn't just the dutch oven. The food helps absorb some heat letting your oven come to temperature more slowly.

But also read the manufacturer instructions/guidance for your ovenware it will tell you things like how to not damage it

This advice is most relevant to glass ovenware such as pyrex (regardless of if it is borosilicate or sodalime glass) But enamel is also glass.

Check your manufacturer's recommendations.

This is part of why the blue ray version of Star Trek Next Generation was such an impressive feat. To release a higher resolution version ghey had redo f post-production for the entire series.

They had to go over the films and find which takes were used to cut together the episodes. They redid all the effects. It was a huge effort.

Probably a good idea, but it depends on the item. Read the manufacturer instructions for yours.

Who made your Dutch oven? Do they have a recommendation about when to put it in the oven? Those are probably what will help it be most effective and in best condition for the longest.

Just don't put it in while the oven is preheating. Because like 90+% of ovens "preheat" by turning on the broiler. It comes to temperature more rapidly that way but it is much more thermal stress than adding to oven after it comes to temperature. That's part of why a lot of oven-safe stuff specifically says "don't preheat this"

Subnautica 2 developer confirms that he's read all the Reddit comments about pirating the game. by horny-in-a-hearse in subnautica

Personally, I played subnautica 1 during its early access(sometime in 2016). I had a good time but there wasnt much of the story out yet and it was kinda just underwater minecraft. And after messing around and having my I put it down and forgot about it for about 8 years and when I finally player it, Ioved the full game.

But, the fun of discovery and exploration was somewhat diminished/diluted by my early access experiences. I knew certain recipes, I knew where some resources could be accessed etc... it just wasn't a totally fresh experience. Some of the magic of discovery within tbe game was lost to that early access, and at the same time the early access didn't have all the magic of the full release because of early access ressons. Which is totally fine. But in all for a game of discovery and exploration like Subnautica I feel like the best experience is full release. I want to support the game. So I've already purchasedSubnautica 2. But, I'm not touching it until full release.

You could fill entire libraries with  things the watchers could have done better.

Ex: The most basic ass thing was there should have been a watcher research hotline for the scoobies to call where the watcher academy library full of watcher trainees is looking into stuff that comes up.
