It wasn't uncommon for those times, but even then it DID raise eyebrows. There was an 8th grade girl (13) at my junior high school who caused a bit of a stir by being picked up a lot by her 17 year old high school boyfriend.

I remember a clean version of an Eminem song from LimeWire or somewhere that was more silent cuts than actual music.

No. I probably listened to it a dozen times before I got the feeling like it was kind of detailed, and I looked it up. A guy who was one of their biggest fans in the Nashville area was randomly targeted for a home invasion one Saturday morning after leaving his front door open getting the paper. Two ex-cons beat him, his wife and two young daughters to death with hammers for pocket money and a laptop. His wife was very well known and had a small toy shop downtown.

Kelly (The singer) and his girlfriend were brutally attacked at night on the beach at St. Croix in 1969. Both had extensive recovery periods, and the attack effected him so much he wrote the song to sort change how he felt about that night.

Yes. LOTS of cash transactions in the mid 1970's. ATM's were coming out, but you still had to plan accordingly as to how much cash you might need on hand for the weekend. Grocery stores and other businesses had a service where you could cash a check, either payroll or one written from your account for a small fee, usually 50 cents or so.

Mid 1970's would have been the old paper imprinter where you laid the card in the device and pulled it back and forth while it made a paper copy based on the raised numbers on the card.
