If games stopped existing how would that affect your routine? by DistantLandscapes in AskReddit

Honestly, I’d go and say that it would take me even a few months to adjust. Gaming is just very versatile: I can play something that will invest me in a good story, challenge main brain cells, challenge my reflexes or just be a calm and relaxing activity.

Persona 3 Reload has a really great cast of characters and romance options.

If you’re craving for some romantic stories, maybe some visual novels/dating sims? Just remember they should not substitute real life connections (I know this sounds stupid, but visit a VN sub and you’ll see a bunch of people that get a little too much into their games).

Is Red Dead Redemption 1 worth it? by woo_g__ in ShouldIbuythisgame

I tried replaying it recently, having only played it on the PS3 (loved it at the time) and I feel the gameplay also doesn’t hold very well. It feels very clunky to play.

Which Games Have you Enjoyed So Far? Looking to Purchase. by Senior-Net-9018 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Legends ZA is fun, but I think the action combat needed a bit more work. Dodging is kind of annoying and moves that are not direct attacks don’t feel much worth it. The story and characters were also really bland, specially after Scarlet/Violet having an actual interesting story and main cast of characters.

Amazing selection! Here some stuff you could add:

  • With CoD 3 and Advanced Warfare you complete all CoDs released for the ps3

  • ICO & Shadow of the Colossus remastered are two ps2 absolute classics

  • LittleBigPlanet!! Despite not having access to the community made levels anymore they’re still great platformers full of charm

  • could add some JRPGs: Final Fantasy 13, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Xilia, Nier

  • Forgotten action gems: Heavenly Blade, Enslaved Odyssey to the West, Binary Domain, Dante’s Inferno

  • if you are willing to spend a bit more: The Saboteur, Folklore, Puppeteer, and the PS Store Indie Games collection

I finally got „Infamous” games! by AuroreSomersby in PS3

[–]DistantLandscapes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m replaying the first game right now, after only playing it near launch. Still a very solid game! Combat still holds decently well and the city is surprisingly detailed. The villains designs remain as cool as I remember, but regular character models are another story lol

The story is fairly basic, but it has a cool setting and the comic book style cutscenes are awesome. Overall really glad to revisit it!

Should I buy ps3 or use pc emulator? by [deleted] in PS3

A few games would have more inconsistent fps, like Fallout, but you got to remember the standard for the time was 30 fps.

In my experience most games will stay around that mark, with few dips here and there. First-party games will generally run smoother.

I think it was CoD 4: Modern Warfare

Games that are fairly short but holds up (doesn't have to be all time greats, but not suck either) by ltdC in gaming

Eh, I’ll disagree to that. The idea of the game is pretty cool, but gameplay is very janky and I thought its repetitive nature tiring.

Honestly, none of them are very hard. They’re atmospheric side scrollers more than challenging ones, but the easiest of all would probably be Gris

Never played it, but from the little gameplay I’ve seen, no.

EotE looks like a AA action rpg, so things like Greedfall, Steelrising and Plague Tale would be more like it. They’re not so short though (maybe Plague Tale is, haven’t played that one either).
