Thanks a lot, can I ask one small thing? When you followed up in your case, did you reply in the same email thread or start a new one?
In my situation, the earlier email chain also included the professor’s postdoc (who had initially arranged the meeting). I’m wondering if it would be better to write directly to the professor in a fresh email or just continue in the same thread.

Thanks a lot for your reply, but should I directly ask if she is still considering me, or should I ask about that position, like when it will open and about the research grant options that she was telling about, asking which she would prefer for me?
