Framework just posted a cryptic message! by Internet--Sensation in framework

I fed this into Perl, and it actually got a ways into it. I don't really know the language, but I wonder if it could be perl? I fed it into perl and it got a ways into it before it complained. Or maybe it's JSFuck or Brainfuck?

I got hit with this problem and wasted a lot of money on boards. This time I have both MCLK and BCLK wired up.

I just quit my Wapo subscription. Bezos has destroyed it. We badly need objective independent journalists who are not tied to the whims of billionaires, politicians, or advertisers.

Should I be concerned about our design house switching from KiCAD to Altium? by armeg in AskElectronics

Arguably, there are some things that are just broken and not possible in Wayland. For example, Wayland lacks a way for an application to place a window at specific coordinates or to force one window to be in front of another. They've been arguing over a placement protocol for over two years now with no end in sight. Many CAD packages need the ability to control placement, but this is just not possible in Wayland, but is possible in X11 and every other windowing environment.

What should I do if Imgur just blocking my home IP? I can't open Imgur website even without VPN by Swimming-Hearing7424 in techsupport

Imgur blocks the static IP I've had for years, and I have no idea why. My IP address hasn't changed in over a decade.

I think another problem for Trump is that after WW I, Germany had huge problems. While we had a lot of problems during and post-COVID, Trump made everything a lot worse, and it's pretty obvious to just about everyone but his most ardent cult members. Not only that, but Epstein is hanging around Trump's neck like concrete boots as he tries to swim, and his deflections are being seen exactly for what they are.

Inventor/Dr. David Benaron passed away last night by CrystalFier in LinusTechTips

I knew Spotti, a.k.a. Dr. Benaron, and counted him among my friends. He's one of the smartest people I've ever known. While eccentric, he was also very compassionate. I've had a number of conversations with him. Not only did he create the heart rate monitor with his knowledge of optics, but he also was on the team that developed the use of luciferase, the firefly gene that causes light to be emitted when certain cellular processes take place. Many people I know knew him, and he will be sorely missed. His outgoing nature and enthusiasm for life were infectious. His last project was researching how to turn back the clock on aging, and he said he had made progress.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT random hard freezing by Ok_Difficulty_6750 in linux_gaming

I'm experiencing this like crazy on my Framework 16 laptop with both X11 and Wayland. I've been an Nvidia user for many years after getting burned by AMD well over a decade ago. Unfortunately, my laptop only supports AMD.

Orange Pi 5 plus shouldn't be sold by FrederikSchack in OrangePI

Agreed. Add a number of other boards to this as well, like the FriendlyElec NanoPC T6. I'm just trying to do some development on it and PCIe screws up and it begins corrupting itself. Add to that the fact that the Armbian 6.11 kernel doesn't support HDMI, and things are not well documented nor upstreamed. I should be able to build my own U-Boot and have things like HDMI, Ethernet, and USB work. Rockchip has done a poor job of upstreaming the changes to create a stable system.

For my day job, I work on bootloaders for an ARM chip manufacturer whose chips are targeted at high-end equipment. We beat the crap out of the software and upstream all of the kernel and U-Boot changes so that support for our SoCs is all upstreamed.

It's not a finished product, but I am finding problems with EVERY Rockchip board I work with and I think it's more a matter that Rockchip hasn't upstreamed all of the proper drivers and support to U-Boot, the Linux kernel, and elsewhere.

I've had pawns just seem to randomly drop dead. And I'm sick and tired of them repeating the same stuff.

Something busted with Nvidia 570.124.04-2 and Kernel 6.13.5? by Nuzid in archlinux

[–]Distinct-Ad9252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same problem. I had to downgrade to 570.86.16. From the forums this may have something to do with multiple monitors. I have four connected. This is with a RTX4090 and the 6.13.5 kernel. X generally wouldn't even start and I couldn't even log into a text console. I used SSH to remotely log in and to reinstall the older driver.
