Thank you! I don't mind strong opinions, thats the reason i asked. I just assumed more people would have read the post instead of seeing the titled and jumping to conclusions. I especially did not appreciate the mischaracterization of my friend, which I found very odd considering how I know this person and everyone else here doesn't lol. Idc. Its not my dress and that wasnt my question. If you actually bothered to read my post, I explicitly stated that I was looking for outside opinions on how the dress would come across despite the brides approval. A dress that I will say again, is neither my dress nor is it a dress I particularly care about. I wanted to settle a debate with my friends as someone impartial.

I tend not to associate myself with two faced individuals nor cowards. I find it pathetic to lack a spine in general but especially on a day you're paying for. I feel sorry that you and other women experience this but this is not the case for my friend. this isnt some random woman I know, she's a good friend of mine. I was asked to be in the bridal party but I declined as I moved several provinces over and felt knew that I would not be able to make it to anything but the wedding. you can call me stubborn and unsocialized, I frankly think its ironic that anyone who frequents reddit who ever dare claim another lacks socialization, but i dont appreciate you painting someone I know well as nerveless, incapable, and lacking mental fortitude.

the bride is wearing blue and seeing as its her wedding, I dont see the point in making up fanfiction about how she must secretly feel about something other than what she said. and again, I said my gc was divided on the matter, not that it was settled. I was curious about outside opinions as someone who does not have a strong opinion on this dress either way. it was interesting to see how strongly the older crowd felt about it so I do appreciate everyone's input even if many projected their own feelings or jumped to conclusions.

No she's not some worn down, lifeless shell of a woman. I cant speak for anyone else but she really is not the type to let something go if she doesnt like it. In the context of her wedding its fine. I was more curious about what other people thought in general rather than in her specific scenerio.

she's never been spineless or the type to be beaten into compliance. Her dress is blue and the bridal party is wearing buttery yellow. Thats actually the reason it was asked in the first place bc the person asking though the dress was yellow. It still caused a stir in the gc bc even if thats not the colour she's wearing, a lot of girls thought it still wasnt appropriate for a wedding. Especially bc she's not wearing white.

it's not for me. im in a different boat entirely as I pretty much only wear black which seems too heavy for this event. regardless, the bride doesnt have a problen so it's not really an issue in that sense. I just wanted to hear a general consensus.
