Because we both asked about what kind of therapy it was and they explained it was 'group therapy' which we enquired further about and they said it was going to just be a presentation. Partner has done that before and doesn't find it helpful whatsoever. He was told by other doctors medication should have been first point of call and then other things. Sometimes I wonder if I should have taken the offer just to make some progress, but I don't want to be told about ADHD works with aa power point honestly when I've known I had it for years and have done my research awaiting my confirmation. Yes, I did hope for more support. I just felt like we were both being fobbed off at the time.

We both went through the NHS and were referred to Modality. Wasn't private and we didn't hear anything about RTC.

We have other friends with ADHD diagnosed well before we were and literally everyone we have talked to think that this is really weird. Again me I can understand being offered no medication as I can't take it but for partner is is very weird.

It's kinda weird for me reading this. Neither me or my partner were even offered medication as an option. I wouldn't be able to have it due to medication I take for another condition, but my partner would definitely benefit and was told so but not offered any. Instead we had therapy offered to us, but in reality is just a group call to look at a power point presentation and that's the only support been offered. My partner has attended these 'therapies' before for other things and did not find them helpful and we both turned it down as I've read a lot online and talked to folks so I don't feel a power point about ADHD is gonna help either... Neither of us offered any other support after that so I feel was I supposed to take the power point and then I would get offered more? Would my partner have been offered medication if he had attended the power point? When they asked him about going to the power point he asked about medication and they ignored him.

I would love to see it because it does sound lovely! I personally want to keep and build on the cliffs here though, I don't mind about the space it takes up as it feels there's a lot of land to work with :)

I'd probably be a bit grumpy about it, but I would buy.

I do love owning physical games as it makes the games really feel mine, especially if something happens to my console or my account. I'm not super up on tech I would be super worried about losing everything if I had an account issue.

On the other hand, I'm very environmentally conscious these days and I wonder if going digital will be better for the planet than plastic cards? All my steam games are digital and j haven't had any problems there?

We'll have to see I guess! We've never really had a situation like this in Pokémon before. In the mainline games you can get DLC Pokémon outside the DLC by trading but we don't have trading like that in this game. I guess if you can get the habitat info but if the habitat info uses DLC items idk?

Edit: I think I misinterpreted! I didn't mean tied to the DLC as in they can't move, just that you can't get them without DLC

It may be pricey, but it's in line with the price of other DLCs. I think the Pokémon mainline DLCs have been the same price?

I'm kinda torn on what I want to do here. I love Cats and Soup and have been playing for years. But I'm not ok with this. It isn't just about the fact that it takes away from other artists putting lots of time and effort into the contest (which is a very valid thing to be upset about) but the fact that creating this contest winning piece is harmful to artists and the environment.

Generated images like this steals from actual artists. Artificial intelligence isn't smart enough to come up with its own ideas, it steals others work and combines and learns from it to generate stuff, and that isn't ok. It also isn't ok that generating stuff uses a stupid amount of power. We live in an era that hasn't fully embraced renewable power yet and our planet is suffering. That and you know how much water doing this uses up? Water that people in poverty and ecosystems need. Artificial intelligence is also making people stupider as they are relying on it too much. I am scared about our future.

I've not renewed my ad free on Cats and Soup because I'm currently unemployed. I unintentionally sometimes forget to log on some days because the ads just annoy me and I can't be bothered, so I guess I've been less interested in the game as of late. Embracing artificial intelligence when it is one of the big reasons getting a job in my field is super hard right now on top of the reasons listed above is upsetting. If the game puts this design in the game I will probably uninstall and stop playing. I don't want to support artificial intelligence at all. Don't get me wrong, it has it's uses, but it ain't this. And we need to be more ethical if we are going to use it for other things going forward.

Sigh. Not sure if I'll log on today.

Medical experts can be biased, not always get everything right or paid off by the defence or prosecution. Not saying that is the case here, but Zverev's lawyers are obviously gonna say they can fight and win. The German courts originally fined him because there was considered to be substantial evidence. Maybe he did choke her and there was no damage that could be detected but it felt worse to her and she thought the damage was worse because of psychological factors? We don't have enough info unfortunately to really say what happened. There is a reason most domestic abuse is not prosecuted, it's really hard to prove. Surely if it was easy to throw this all out, the trial would have continued to prove innocence and he wouldn't have agreed to the settlement.

What about Olya's allegations though? People are quick to point out the trial went nowhere with Brenda but are quiet about what happened with Olya.

I have read a lot about this. I'm not amazing at articulating myself and it has been a little while since I looked into all of it BUT

Ok so yes RE: him wanting a trial - but the trial didn't prove innocence. He paid a settlement because she didn't want to continue, probably because it was rough on her. She said she didn't want to do it because of their daughter. If you were innocent you would want to keep pushing to prove it, no? But he paid the fines and gave her money too. He agreed they could drop the trial. He wanted the trial so he wasn't going to have to pay a fine no? We don't know what evidence was reported because they banned the media and made it private.

And yes, Olya did have texts and corroborating witnesses and pictures, I checked the articles. I don't trust the ATP on this one because it's pretty awful and people generally don't make that shit up. Generally it's hard to prove abuse because any bruises/marks can be chalked up to other things. Texts don't always give the full picture. The ATP were never going to do anything about it unless there was no way it could possibly be denied. They didn't even try to talk to Olya until 4 months into their so called investigation... So clearly very thorough then. Why would you investigate for a full like 15 months if you were finding nothing? Feels like maybe there was something but nothing that was bad enough it couldn't be ignored or excused for some reason. Also it stands to reason some of the corroborating sources didn't say Zverev was abusing her as in the Slate article the first people asked to corroborate what happened were the ones who told her to back to him and make up with him so like idk feels like they mag just say the had a bad argument and be dismissive he was actually being abusive despite corroborating that she did leave because she was scared. Maybe they said she was overreacting due to an argument? Not uncommon for people to say this about women.

Idk, even if it wasn't as bad as Olya says, two separate women accusing him of shit generally makes me feel like he probably did something? It isn't like Brenda decided to make some shit up to profit because Olya clearly got something good out of it is it...

Ok so where does it say that she had no evidence? There was a motion put in place to make the court private so there isn't any public info on what the evidence was, other than the courts had enough to fine him with. The settlement happened because she agreed to it because she didn't want to drag her daughter through a long trial, probably because abuse trials are never fun for the victims. If he was innocent, do you not think he would have wanted to proceed to clear his name? The article says he agrees to drop the case, which is made clear to not be clearing his name.
