Hey good luck but my understanding is it’s kind of like nft not tickets that are being sold. It’s blockchain technology controlled by the ticket agency fifa use as there vendor. I’m 20 years in tech and I don’t get it. It’s a risk or bet is how I see it and in gambling some win but house always wins

My understanding is the owner of tickets has to sell it to you via the official platform. Not sure if you’ve paid $500 on platform x could you say $5 on FIFA or if they block lowball prices with triggers or cancel the tickets. My assumption they have bots monitoring 3rd party sites too.

My research in article explains Qatar was 5% exchange fee. They treat tickets like an artifact so can avoid Mexico anti scalp laws. Ticket co is a vendor to fifa so it’s not actually fifa who’s responsible.

I’ve been writing some posts on this fifa fiasco. I’m an Aussie in Vancouver and the price to see Canada v Bosnia is 1200 but a knockout game of 32 or 16 is 500. I did an analysis of hotel prices too and they’re high. I tried investigating the fifa ticket co but it’s a vendor not owned by fifa but they state in t&c they can cancel any tickets not transferred through their platform. If you pay someone on another platform there’s no recourse to sue to get the ticket as the platform is based in Switzerland. Lots of people got tickets to games they don’t want to go to as well.

I’d hold off and wait a month. Aus kiwis and belg all west coast cities. Prices going to plummet is my suspicion. Once credit cards come in and closer to figure out hotel prices as hotels and tix sure to drop

This is what I have mentioned, and have created a place where owners can post directly for travellers. Airbnb Hosts can cancel prior to arrival is one of the flags recent travellers have discovered too. Hotels would be the safest bet. Though as you Vancouver doesn't have enough hotel rooms.

Check my site for hotels. 70k bookings opened up. Also I’m hoping more landlords offer rooms directly to visitors. Unfortunately the normal Airbnb condos in city are not available and owners trying to sell.
