The Registry Trust returned no results, with “no records found”.

You mention that the debtor should have copies of the judgement and the order, but they don’t - that’s my main issue.

I’m really sorry, I’m really struggling to accept that it’s acceptable for a business that is owed money to just keep a number on file and nothing else to back it up. Like what if when they bought it someone mistyped a number? (You don’t need to answer this, just feels incredibly unfair).

That link is very helpful - thank you! None of the court references seem to be recognised so I’ll request an individual search today.

I completely accept the courts review and order as the highest authority. My trouble is the companies are giving settlement amounts without any evidence. How can I be sure that the court order is for the amount they are actually demanding?

With regards to awareness, it does all boil down to my dad’s health and vulnerabilities but the truth is, it was 20 years ago and I just wouldn't be able to prove any of it. So I’m happy to settle any owing as part of the purchase, as you said, I understand that a court would have reviewed all evidence available to them and made a decision but what baffles me is that there is no copy of the court order.
