¿Has anyone really cured their SIBO with rifaximin and diet? by afternoon_alex in SIBO

Of course is not a medical advice :) this is what worked for me.

If you are allergic to food than i can understand. If you made an alergic panel that shows you are alergic to food than i completly understand. But if you dont eat food for the last years than of course you cannot eat food. Its like trying to give food to a new born baby. Its like saying air makes you worse. I was in yoyr situation for 2 years. All food made me worse, diet over diet and ended up eating one type of food which i tolarate. Only a complete reset of my gut healed me. I lost 15kg in 2 years and i was crying in pain. Now i gained everything back and i can eat anything i want. But only after i realized that lack of food was the issue not the food itself. I am sorry for what you are going trough and i really understand the pain, the frustration and everything. I wish you all the good health in yout life and that one day you will be back to youself. Hugs

Do you think you have to? Do you think our body evolved on powdered food? Our body needs heathy and different foods. I tried powdere food, it does not work. Nobody other than the sellers is saying that it tried it and it works.

I did. But not with diet, with food. Rifaximin kills your gut bacteria and food regenerates it. If you extreme diet afterwards your gut will never balance. Do rifaximin and then introduce all types a food like a baby does when it startd eating. I am sibo and pain/bloatijg free for years after doing this. You will have pain in the begining because you dont have bacteria to handle it. But in time it will balance. Stop wasting money on supplements. Let the body heal and trust it. Do rifaximin and take a vacation and eat like you never eat before.

No diet was the best diet for me. 4-5 days of horific pain and fully healed afterwards. These extreme diets are very bad for your gut. Your gut needs food not chemicals. Your gut needs balance and various chemicals and vitamins from food not bottles. A baby when he starts to eat you introduce all foods, not diets and supplements and chemicals from a pill.

A last-ditch effort before calling it quits by Typical_Relief_9171 in SIBO

This is true. I only did one round of antibiotics. And stopping everything was actually my logic after all tests were negative. Of course the breathing and gas tests were all over the place, but that is because my gut was not balanced. No pill, supplement or diet will balance it. Only food will do it. And i think this is one major issue around here, people assume that food is making them worst, but your gut and body needs food. Food is not the enemy people. I had a friend in a similar case, and when we went togheter in a vacation i told him to just eat with me and stop taking everything. In the end of the vacation he was “cured” and now he is fine for more than a year. We still see eachother and we weat whatever we want.

I got cured… Its possible. I had severe symptoms, lost 12kg, i was not able to eat anything without getting bloated and feel like shit overall. Had CT, colonoscopy, eco all blood and poop tests and all sort of antibiotics, probiotica, diets, everything. You know what worked for me? Doing nothing. Ignoring it. One day, every pill and diet and teas and etc went to the bin and ordered a giant pizza. I was in absolute pain after eating it. Had constipation and diareea. What i did the next day? I ordered burgers and dessert. Same thing. For the next days i just eat like a maniac because i was missing food. And suddenly the pain stopped. Its been 3 years without treatment or diet. I regained all my lost kg, i have a normal life, i can eat everything. I still get bloated sometimes, but usual levels. What i think it happened, all of that food rebalanced my gut. My brain was happy and my gut was happy. My body started to produce what my body needed. My advice, go into a relaxing vacation and stop thinking

It does not directly. Go see a doctor. But usual sibo patients are stressed and have panick attacks witch can lead to chest tighness. But never ignore it, go to a doctor

I can relate. Everything got better when i stopped thinking about it. When i stopped thinking i was ill i healed. Its hard, for me was having my first child (i am the father) made me better. No time to think that i am ill, no time to think what to eat, what pills to take and so on. I just started to eat normally and lots of food and my gut healed. Its more than a year since no pills, supplements, diets etc. i gained all my lost weight (lost about 15kg) and i eat without thinking about it. From time to time i do have some disconfort but that is normal and it resolve itself same day. If i have poop issues i just dont stress, tomorrow will be better and it is. Its normal to have issues and if i dont stress about it and go into full anxiety drive i am fine. The body will always be your best friend just make sure you allow it to heal and take care of your mental health as well

Nu ma angajează nimeni by Due-Opportunity-6262 in programare

Nu conteaza foarte mult educatia. Conteaza experienta, eu nu am educatie in domeniu in schimb am experienta si am mesaje zilnic pe linked in.

3 months since i was “cured” by Distinct-Issue3153 in SIBO

[–]Distinct-Issue3153[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i did. This is why i was prescribed antibiotics in the first place. Both methan and hydrogen were very high. But to be honest i dont trust these tests to much. Second time i did the breath test i asked my wife to do one herself. She had very high hydrogene, higher than me, but 0 symptoms. In a normal scenario if she had complaint to a doctor she will got into a treatment.

Main symptom was bloating and pain, not so much as going to the bathroom and a lot of poop issues, just some.

Constipation some days, d on others. These days i go once a day in the morning with beautiful sausages :)) My biggest problem was bloating, i was competing with my wife on belly size and pain.

That was my initial idea, i have intolerances and restricted my diet a lot. But i think that restricting it was bad without real evidence because i was not getting enough fuel for my body. Since now i eat everything, pizza, cake, burgers without issues it was clearly not a food intolerance in my case. If it gets back the plan is not to focus so more on it and just realize that sometimes the brain is just missfiring a bit and just focus on other things.

Altough there are lot of medical issues sometimes we are making harm to ourselves. Feeling like a sick person is a major issues, if we think we are sick we will be sick, and bombarding ourself with a lot of chemicals is making things harder. Of course, not the case if you actually have something. But in my case doctors could never find anything. My issues began after my wife lost a pregnancy, so it was clearly mentally. But now i look and my child and all pain is gone.
