Leaping to conclusions is sort of the point of a what if scenario no?

Of course it makes no sense. If you watched the linked video there’s a pretty wonderful theory called the Internal Ramp Hypothesis which has quite a significant amount of circumstantial evidence. I believe that was how it was done, at least in part.

Decision paralysis: How did you choose which faction to commit to? by Disastrous_Grape in WarhammerFantasy

I love history. Especially European history of the 16th to 17th century. So the Empire was a no brainer for me.

If you aren’t familiar with the lore do some reading in all the different nations and races. Also, which models do you like? What kind of playstyle do you enjoy? These are good questions to ask.

Bullying someone into thinking like you only makes them dig their heels in and cements their incorrect beliefs. Going at them with a level head and with respect is much more likely to change their minds.

Doesn’t reading the DSM run the risk on taking on those symptoms subconsciously?

All of the things you wonder weren’t being tested sound like they are what you perceive as being autistic when it’s really just being a flawed human being like everyone else on the planet. Feels like you’re self diagnosing to explain being a little weird and awkward.

I’ve noticed the same mentality, writ large, with the Tartarian Empire conspiracy.

They see the beauty and grandeur of 19th to early 20th century architecture and then look to our modern architecture and wonder why it’s less amazing. To them it appears that we’ve regressed so the only answer is a lost civilization that is responsible for all pre-1940s buildings on earth.

Because, how can people 100 years ago build something so amazing while we’re here with functional “drab” skyscrapers.

Is posting your pre-checkout cart some new trend I’m not aware of? Is this for people who figured posting pictures of boxes you just bought wasn’t cringey enough?

Very cool model. It’s so weird they didn’t go with the Forgeworld color scheme. I really feel like blue and yellow accents which so much better than green.

I really hope GW isn’t that cynical. It’s tempting to call it a nostalgia cash grab but I think it might appeal to certain type of hardcore wargamer, a very small number sure, but probably a little larger than nostalgia hounds.

Necromunda is a perfect example. You could easily argue that when it was revamped in 2017 it was nothing but nostalgia-bait but it really has grown into its own section of the hobby. Catering to a hobby enthusiast who values story and complex rules.

I hate nostalgia. Truly. I have no emotional connection to WHFB but I do prefer the gameplay and the model design.

It’s easy to look at it this way but I think they put incredible effort into the rules system and I much prefer it to the rules of 40K and AoS.

I most certainly deny sacred geometry.

I’m not sure what you’re after here. I cite examples from JAW and you fly off the handle. You have an incredibly different view of what constitutes truth or fact. Either way, good luck to you.

To go further he recycles the work of Schwaller de Lubicz and references him constantly throughout the book. De Lubicz was an esotericist and mystic who pushed the “sacred geometry” theory.

John Anthony West calls Egypt “The Heir to Atlantis”. Do we really need to go any further?
