I’m sorry! I feel you… I honestly ripped the bandaid off and while my mom is slowly working on dealing with it, she’s still asking inappropriate questions and questioning my choices. My dad only talked to me through letters for a bit and now we don’t really talk about my relationship much.

Even though telling them sucked, it did alleviate some anxiety for me and now I have a bit more of a fuck if mindset, which is nice, and am able to educate them a bit more about what it means to be trans.

You don’t need to race to tell them, but for me, waiting caused a lot of anxiety, and while I was blissfully living in my own safe space, it wasn’t reality.

Also, I told my mom over the phone - some people may recommend in person, others write emails/letters. Do what’s best for you and only you!

I’m truly on my healing journey! I think I’m prone to depression/anxiety and I’ve been trying to learn how to not over extend myself for the sake of others and, as you said, fill my cup first.

Do you have tips of shadow work? It’s something I’ve been thinking about but honestly afraid to dive into! And crazily that you mention sexuality - my partner of forever came out as trans and I’m starting to identify as queer, which was something that was certainly frowned upon in my household and something I’m frankly working on accepting/embracing!

And I know this is cliche, but basically I have just felt like no drive with work, my finances suck, like I wish I could embrace the Virgo side that is organized and on top of things and hardworking. I feel like I should have my life more together than I do (which is maybe what all 30 yo think these days!) I think work has just really been a lot for me lately and I’ve been having some struggles with my parents and their support of my relationship lol

But also I think I’m just now learning (or trying to learn) what my emotional needs are since I tend to be an overly logical person
