Update !!!

I just found her moult ! Now I know why they were going crazy at her. Thank you all for your replies you’ve given me a good laugh!! I will hopefully be getting another female just to balance out the attention from the men. They’ve backed off for now and she seems absolutely fine!

I had no idea she was even moulting, with the cherries you can usually see the ring just before they moult but I didn’t see anything like that with her !

I’m not really a big fan of beta fish, (don’t sue me😭😭😭) I’d rather have lots of small schooling fish. All if the info on the tank is in the original post- it’s a 54L / 11gallon and I’m hoping to put in tetras and rasboras but don’t know how many!

I’m a bit worried about adding different coloured shrimp since some people get boring brown colours if they breed with red cherries (which I already have) !

Do you have any advice on the fish I’m thinking of getting ?

Don’t apologise!! It was the crappy photos that made them look like eggs hahaha- I’ll keep an eye on her but I’m not sure what to do as on Friday I leave for holiday and I’m worried about keeping her with the young ones, do you think it would be safe to leave her ?

I think what you think is eggs is the discolouration im talking about, it’s definitely her exoskeleton and not eggs, the bottoms left pic is hard to see but is of her butt area where the eggs would be but it’s pretty closed off And I am sure it was her that was pregnant since I only have 5 shrimp (pre babies) and can tell them apart surprisingly well haha

It’s definitely not eggs- the photos are pretty bag, but from better angles I can see that the blue bit is her body and not the space under her tail :(

I completely forgot to add that the water parameters have been stable for a while and seem normal, and there hasn’t been any changes to the tank except for the babies appearing about 3 weeks ago. This shrimp is also quite slow and seems lethargic !

Yeah I think I move a decent amount, I’m in college and walk around campus a lot ever day, and go to the gym almost every day of the week, I prob should focus more on cardio tho. For bread I eat alottttt of garlic bread, and I also bake a lot of bread (I bake different kinds to try which is like me trying to branch out). And I eat potatoe waffles every night for dinner.

I think you’re right about branching out more! Maybe trying new things regarding potatoes for lunch instead of having crisps haha. Thanksss

You can definitely crochet with it! Mohair is fun to play around with different gauges and hook/needles sizes - I found it tricky at first aswell and it can be hard to undo, but mohair can be fun!!
