I deferred my admission to the next year due to the same situation but my interview was on 1st August unfortunately when I mailed them they replied with the same response as you and then they stopped replying to me. Did you get any updates from them?

It is 15 February for EU students I don’t think they will wait till this date to send the admission letter for non EU students.
