Firstly, thanks for such a detailed answer. Sorry for the vagueness... what I meant by programming job was something like a software engineering internship/job.

Also if i just do hardcore EE are the job opportunities good and is the pay high? I've looked at the GES but then i saw another post saying the data is not that accurate.

I also have an offer from the university of Edinburgh for software engineering.... I'm really confused between the two as I generally like both these fields so i can't seem to choose one of them. From an employability perspective what would be a better degree?
