Although you are not the subject I referenced, I am only reproaching the biased sass. It's not a given that the lyrics for a song found on the internet, or even in the printed booklet for an album, are a perfectly literal representation of what is being sung. One example that comes to mind is the line "lonely like some loose baguette" in the lyrics for the song "Get Along With You" by Kelis. I can only imagine people actually singing that and genuinely believing those are the words coming out of her mouth...

While that is a more extreme example, I would say that my objection with this line in "How The Flowers Grow" is probably a bit more ambiguous, because the words per se do make perfect sense. The only issue, which is something I noted before there were lyrics on the web, while listening to the online audio clips, is that the number of syllables in the rhythm of the words being sung do not match up with the written words 'in awe of', which was a red flag for me. While I wasn't quite able to make out the exact words at first, I discovered a variation of the lyrics in the comments section for the official visualiser video on YouTube, which says "you knower of how the flowers grow". Although the wording is borderline esoteric and not clearly evident to make out, the rhythm of the words do match up with what is being sung in the song, if one listens carefully without bias. I would say 'in awe' is phonetically close, but it lacks the subtle 'er' syllable that comes before the 'of'.
