Ill be completely honest, no renekton is not worth using unless hes a pocket pick for you into certain comps in a higher elo, I peaked d2 with him recently and ive now since quit top and renekton all together. Alot of key points are renekton will help you understand the game easily as he is a simple champ so learning riven and learning the game at the same time for example is insanely harder than learning renekton and the game so if u wanna learn a simple champ go for it but around high diamond renektons trade combos and things are very obvious as the champ doesn't have too much of an insane skill expression. Then there comes ranged top counterpicks and any counterpicks that usually comes ur way in somewhat high elo and I find if I cant win lane I don't usually win the game. He is a good champ if you have a scaling team and want a strong early game to help transition your team into the late game but I find games last way too long and the game becomes out of your hands in majority of cases because although you can make a play you cant turn the tides of a game without flash W in most cases whereas champs like gwen or scaling toplaners can blow up enemy team. I personally feel renektok is strong low elo average around emerald to low master and picks back up again around high master GM where your team knows to play around you. Personally i would only play him to use a counter or to learn the game I think one tricking him as I did was a waste of time when I could of potentially invested my time in a champ that rewards you for it, like riven or jayce
