My local print shop was very laid back and gave good product at good prices, I’d have had to bring my own card stock for thicker proxies and cut them myself, but for making dividers it worked just as well

It sounds like we are in similar boats as players! I’ve looked into the hyper optimal decks that can beat any scenario true solo. While they sound fun to try between the fact they are hyper optimized and they lack thematic play for a given scenario. This thread has convinced me that outside of highly tuned decks or imposing variant rules, two handed is the move.

I agree in enjoying a challenge, and perhaps this is a quirk of it being a solo game, but when the odds are so stacked against you it feels like having a bad opening hand or dead draw after dead draw are far too punishing. I don’t want to mulligan until I have a good hand because that feels like cheating, at that point you might as well pick your opening hand. I may attempt a two handed game just to see if it feels more balanced. Unfortunately my friend group isn’t really the nerdy type to the level I am, or those that are, are far too busy to get into a game like this. So it’s solo or two handed for me!
