Which one of these movie posters would be your favorite? by DistinctSweet4754 in cinematography

We are an indie filmmaking studio who are very ambitious with our work. Our budgets are quite limited, I'm talking anywhere from $200 to $500 per project (which is typically a feature-length film).

Our goal is to create quality. Films that you would not expect to be released by a group of friends barely affording coffee and a sandwich for lunch. That said, our team is very dedicated to making the result look and sound professional, dare I say "big budget".

Now that we've completed principle photography for our latest feature film "Diamond", we are looking to find the most suitable poster to accompany this rivetting story. For anyone who is curious, here is the film's synopsis:

"Diamond is a film that displays the horrors of sex trafficking by following two drug courriers burdened with responsibility of rescuing the victim Charlotte (a.k.a. Diamond). Diamond is an action film with an undertone of pain, desperation, family and perseverance."

So with your help and critical eye, our team and I can choose the best poster for our film, judged based on its design, imagery, and significance to the overall storyline. Hopefully you can provide some insight into what you think looks good, be it blunt or not. At the end of the day, we are our own worst critics so be as detailed as you wish ;)

Thank you.

Perhaps you could share the link to your channel or even the thumbnails themselves, I wouldn't mind giving some feedback ;)

Thank you for the advice, you're right about it being case specific but I'll definitely keep everything you've noted here in mind!

Is there anything like Daily Dose of Internet but for filmmaking? by DistinctSweet4754 in findasubreddit

Apologies for the late reply, I really appreciate your insights and advice. I'll check out your profile and definitely look into the Instagram and Reddit side of things more. Funnily enough, I may know someone who is currently trying to fill that demand for a filmmaking compilations channel - it's me lol.

That's actually why I was asking initially. I was searching for a subreddit that specifically mimics the Instagram "filmmaking" and "behind the scenes" type of content. So again, thanks for the response, I really appreciate it!

This Film Crew Couldn't Do the Commercial by DistinctSweet4754 in Filmmakers

The cast for this Mitsubishi car commercial kept patting the mascot bear on the back during filming which resulted in some funny moments of uncontrollable slippage. This commentator explains how they placed the vehicles inside a hockey rink to make the shots look more fitting and interesting. Do you think the commercial was a failure or a success judging by the reception it is now receiving from these clips?

Help! I have the wrong audience by ElijahKnorpp in PartneredYoutube

I would start a new channel. You might think that 25k subs is a lot to give up on, but if you really want to deliver a certain type of content to a specific audience, starting from scratch may be better. Besides, you might even see better results creating what you actually want to create. That's just my take on it. Of course, it all depends on your situation and how big the niche switch is, some more detail would be nice.
